I bought this as a sight for my MP9, compact and lightweight. It's a nice sight, easy to zero in with included allen keys/hex wrenches, and easy to mount on a Picatinny rail. It's small footprint minimizes the risk of it being shot out (but it is still possible). It doesn't add too much weight to you rifle, its extremely lightweight and allows for pairing with several other attachments whether to improve effectiveness on the field or just for looks ;). Made of metal (aluminum?), it can take some abuse, but not as much as real steel sights like Aimpoints. Has a large eye relief, allows for forward mounting for greater field of view and target acquisition. It is't parallax free though, so u have to be directly behind it to see the dot.Hasn't died on me yet, had it for a year already. Pretty cool that it comes with an extra battery and NC Star's warranty out of the box too. Highly recommend sight.

Another thing that can break on your rifle, it would be wise to have back up iron sights
