Well MBG25 Bolt Action Sniper Gas Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[O12D00][25891 / MBG25B]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Borrowing its designs from modern lightweight precision rifles, the MBG25B is crafted with the modern shooter in mind, which makes your job on the airsoft field that much simpler. The stock is made from plastic, which makes the gun extremely light for its length. The outer barrel and top rail are metal, ensuring durability and making attaching optics secure and simple. On top of this, the gas action of this rifle makes the bolt smooth and incredibly easy to cycle, which drives the potential of faster follow up shots even higher than other rifles. Most gas rifles are extremely pricey, but Well has brought down their price without compromising their quality. This is the perfect rifle for those looking to enter the world of gas sniper rifles without breaking the bank.

Out of the box this gun is nothing special. The exterior is as low quality as one should expect from a $120 Well product. However, the internals are surprisingly high quality made entirely of brass making this gun easily up-gradable.
The gun comes crudely assembled with many O-rings crushed between parts and slathered in grease. I would highly recommend cleaning off all grease, polishing all points of friction and air flow, replacing all the installed O-rings with the provided replacements, and re-lubricating with silicon oil and lithium grease (as appropriate).
I was able to install an AEG style tight bore and R-Hop with minimal modifications to the stock Hop-Up unit. For ~$200 (gun + r-hop + barrel) this gun shoots very well! Effective range is about 270 feet. Recorded 10" grouping at 200 feet and 3" grouping at 100 feet.
If you are knowledgeable and willing to clean up this gun; it is quite a good deal. I recommend this gun to any tinkerer on a budget.
Pros:
- All important internals are brass and thus easy to polish/lubricate
- I was able to install an AEG style tight-bore barrel and R-Hop with minimal modifications to the stock Hop-Up unit.
- good weight
Cons:
- Gas chamber is inline with release valve: makes shot power inconsistent as the ratio of liquid to gaseous propane varies on fill level and gun angle. Pretty significant set back for a sniper. I am forced to either angle the gun down to ensure wet shots or fill it dry to maintain consistency.
- Body is terribly plastic. Feels like if you squeezed it hard enough it would crack.
