VFC has taken their popular MK17-H, which has been referred to as the best replica of the MK17 currently on the market, and made it even better. The VFC Full Metal FN Herstal SCAR-H MK17 SSR Airsoft Gun is now fully licensed by FN Herstal of Belgium, and is arguably the most realistic SCAR-H replica on the airsoft market. The VFC SCAR-H SSR maintains many of the same features and controls as the M4/M16 series, so the transition for users is simple. In addition, the MK17-H SSR has many improvements over the M4 and the M16. The lower receiver is constructed from sturdy polymers to reduce weight. The magazine release and selector switch are ambidextrous, and the bolt release is functional. Not only is the stock retractable it is side folding and has an adjustable cheek rest, and unlike the many other brands, the wires are not exposed when the stock is folded.As if all of that wasn't enough, An integrated and uninterrupted rail runs along the top of the receiver giving the user plenty of room to mount optics and night vision equipment. In addition, there is a rail on the underside of the handguard and two removable rails for each side of the handguard that enable the user to mount accessories like a flashlight or vertical grip. VFC has really outdone themselves on this one.
SSR stands for Sniper Support Rifle, the user's job is to provide cover and security for the long range sniper rifleman. A gun like this is a true asset to any squad, especial for their snipers.

Product Information:
Great gun, a bit pricey. Unique look for an assault rifle/DMR.
Pros:
Has a good range out of the box, good rate of fire, high cap mags hold more the most m4 mags.
Cons:
motor gets very hot if auto fire in long bursts, hop up is a bit weird (i have it turned all the way off to just get level flight at long range)
price.

me and my friends do a lot of airsofting and all recently upgraded to highend aegs so I decided to get something different. everyone has an m4 or m16 so I decided on the scar mk17 ssr and am thoroughly amazed! it is an amazing gun with great feel and range plussince its half polymere its lighter than guns half its size. I would definitely recommend this gun to anyone looking for a nice gun.

Product Information:
This is a serious weapon system. The upper is all metal and lower is polymer. Light weight it is not. It is the sniper variant of the SCAR series so there are no iron sights included. The box it came in was not very impressive for a $400+ gun. You have to watch the wiring in the stock before you start extending it. You need to pop out the pin on the butt cover, carefully extend the battery wire. Getting the stock nun-chuck battery back in the stock takes a bit of finesse. Folding stock works great, no wires to get in the way. Top, sides, and bottom picatinny rails give you all the space you ever want to add extras. This gun fired great out of the box. Semi, Full Auto, never skipped a beat. Taking it to the range the first time was filled with WTF from just about everyone on my team. You will make a statement.

Flash Hider was really hard to remove. Some said it was super glued. I got it off by applying the correct torque.
Bolt does not always lock open. Going to have Airsmith look at it.

i have the scar h witch is the same thing but smaller and there is not many other stocks for scar aegs. you can to a we buffer tube but the wiring needs a lot of modification to it.
