New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

Description:
The Spartan Delta SX18 M4 Mod Metal Body AEG Airsoft Gun is an impressive addition to the Spartan line up of full metal airsoft guns. The first thing you will notice when holding the SX18 is how sturdy it feels. This can be attributed to its full metal body and flush-mounted RIS unit. The battery for the gun is housed in the crane stock, which is fully adjustable, while both the front and rear flip-up sights are removable, providing far more than enough rail space for the addition of your favorite optics. If you are looking to pick up a new AEG that will be both the best looking and best performing AEG on the field, be sure to check out the Spartan Delta SX18 M4 AEG Airsoft Gun.

Product Information:
I initially purchased this back about 6 months or so. I was looking for an m4 platform with the possibility of being an MK18. Now before y'all floor me on this I know it's not EXACTLY an MK18 since it doesn't use a Daniel Defense ris but you get the idea. When you first open the box you will recieve the gun itself, a metal hicap, an unjamming rod, two rail covers, and a basic forgeip. Also a Manual which is made by A&K so this is technically OEM'd by A&K. Anyways, my first thoughts when I got this was that it was quite nice. The rails that are on it rock solid. They don't budge or anything. They're numbered and work well with accessories. The body is metal and has a laser printed logo and selector switch has a nice "click" when moving between fire modes. The crane stock is ok. It moves a little side to side but that's usually with any stock cranestock. The flash hider that was on it was plastic. One thing I do want to let people be aware of is that the rail right above the flash hider shrouds it just enough to where you can't put a mock suppressor on. Now it can be easily be fixed with a barrel extension or longer barrel but just to let everyone be aware of it. There was initially some performance issues straight out of the box. No matter how high you turned the hop-up up, it would go about 20 feet and hit dirt. I checked everything and it still did it until I upgraded the internals. Besides that preformance is ok. Good ROF on a 9.6 or 7.4 lipo. Upgrading is not a problem either. I replaced ALOT of stuff. Not saying stock it's bad but just to get it on par with performance where I wanted it. I replaced the barrel with a madbull 6.03 black python, hop up was a metal one piece lonex, lonex cylinder, cylinder head, piston head, krytac 18:1 gears, and lonex extreme toughness polycarbonate piston. So here's the pros and cons since I can ramble on:

Pros:
1. Metal body was nice. Didn't feel cheap or clanky.
2. Solid RIS was nice. (Apart from flash hider issue)
3. Metal hicap was good. Winds well and doesn't mess up often.
4. Adaptable and easy to upgrade. Upgrading is always a crucial part of airsoft if you're looking for longevity in the sport. So I always suggest to people to do just that.

Cons:
1. Biggest to me is preformance. Easily upgradeable so it's sort of up to you.
2. Shroud around flash hider prohibits addition of suppressor unless you upgrade with extension or new barrel.
3. As of today, 10/20/17, there's been no reviews or anything anywhere but that's not really a con but slowed down the process of finding help.

All in all it's not a bad gun. Just needs some TLC and internals and you're good to go.
