Well I installed this spring in my CA Aug. I have been doing upgrades on gearboxes for longer then airsoftGI has been in business. Well I have a Guarder bore-up kit in my gun along with a fully upgraded v3 gearbox. Everything in the gearbox is upgraded. I also have a Prometheus 550mm 6.03 tight-bore in the gun and G&P hop-up. Well the spring only did 354fps. I have other m100 springs that are only rated at 330fps and I get 376fps out of them. This spring does not do as advertised. I can see it only getting 310-320fps on normal AEGS. Since this spring says it will do 340-350fps and it only does 354fps on a fully upgraded gearbox. For that I only give the spring a 3 star rating.
Pros:
Nice spring
Cons:
I does not do the avertised FPS.
first off, sorry asgi, but i bought this spring elsewhere because you were out of stock of other stuff. Anyways its a great spring, i had the crappiest spring in my cqb ak, and it went like 50' accurately. after i put THIS spring in, it goes at least 100' And,it goes much faster. I do not have a chrono, but i would say this spring is almost too hot for cqb, and i think i might see how it does in the field as a backup to my m16 dmr setup.
Pros:
shoots pretty hot
light(i got about the same rof)
cheap
prometheus
Cons:
maybe too hot for cqb?
To begin, never rely on the stated fps range. They say this spring should be good for 320-350, but my current set up shot as hot as 373. It's all up to your gun specs.
Nevertheless, the spring is good quality. It is really long, so it can be a chore to put these in Ver2 gearboxes.
Pros:
Strong spring for an M100
Quality build
Got this on discount, so it was a good buy
Cons:
A little on the long side
They have a reputation for the coatings rubbing off after use
Stated range can be deceptive if you're trying to stay under an fps limit for CQB
