The NC STAR Tactical Cantilever Red / Green Dot Sight is a great optic that works perfectly in a CQB scenario. This optic comes with a Cantilever mount which puts the optic up higher then the rail to aid the user in using the optic when wearing a full face mask. Easy to use, see through lens covers help keep your lenses clean and scratch free when not in use. This optic is illuminated which helps the user easily find the reticle in dark or low light conditions. Overall good sight for it's value. It's pretty sturdy and is adjustable to dark areas to well lit areas. I like to use the red for daylight and brightly lit interiors and the green for indoor and later games outdoors. If you're looking for a sight that can be used with face protection, the cantilever mount is a plus.

Cons:
-The tint can sometimes make dark areas too dark
-I like to keep the front cover on so BBs don't shatter the lens, but it distorts the image a little bit
-Wobbles left and right almost unnoticeably on my SOCOM Gear Noveske 10.5"

I bought this for m4 cqbr. The package came with the sight, allen wrench, a cleaning cloth, and 2 batteries. This sight is unique because its higher than the front triangle on am m4 and it has 5 brightness settings for red and green. The only flaws are the sight was smaller than i expected and the sight came alligned wrong. Overall..Awesome

Very nice scope, very bright easily visible red dot by mid day, perfect green dot by night. This scope was built by NcStar for real firearms, and the craftsmanship put into it is of great quality. Over all I think the price for this scope is a steal and I highly recommend it.

- cheap plastic covers ( front got hit by a bb and cracked the plastic cover, back got ripped off getting caught on the sling
- for mine, when I adjusted it to the left the green dot stopped working, but when I centered it it was fine again

Red Dot sights do not need to sit over the front sight. If you are using it correctly (both eyes open) your brain will compensate and you will see the red dot on your target. 3858 days ago 1
