Marushin Full Metal/Real Wood 8mm M2 Carbine Gas Powered Sniper Rifle Airsoft Gun (SI Version)
[D009702655]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The Marushin M2 carbine is an excellent airsoft reproduction of select fire variant of the famous M1 carbine that was popular with the U.S. Army paratroopers and troops in the rear during World War 2. The Marushin replicates many of the operations of the M2 such as bolt operation, adjustable sights, detachable magazine, and safety operation. This authentic looking piece is excellent for WW2 scenarios due to it's light weight and the fact it is not limited to semi automatic like many other period guns. The wonderful design of the Marushin M2 will allow it to fit right in with any airsoft collection.

Jarod Suhr, Gale's son: I bought this gun becaus I really wanted a WWII gun, and something not a Thompson or MP40. The Garand was my first choice, but I heard it had problems. I had suficcient funds for this, and 10% off! Here's the info:
Body and Specs: All wood, nice dark finish, very good feel. The same length as an AKM (or AK47 probably, i have an AKM), maybe 1/4 inch longer, although smaller. Much like a less bulky M14 in a sense. Great detail, even engraved with US CARBINE CAL. 30 M2. Adjustable for elevation and windage rear sight, turnable front (think a clock). Small magazines, same shape as an M4 mag but much smaller. Smaller than it looks in the picture, but very sleek and sexy as the others say.
Loading and Operation: Very realistic. 8mm bb's put in through top, spring pulled down, 16 rds. Insert the magazine in all the way. If you want to look even more bad@$$, hit the magazine in with the bolt locked back, and it will camber the round and lock the mag in. If not, cock the bolt by pulling all the way back and releasing. Then the safety can be engaged. Selector is wobbly, so is the mag (slightly). My semi-auto doesnt work right, but it could be the gas not heated up all the way.
Firing:Great blowback, loud report and clanking noise. Once again, the trigger doesn't reset in semi-auto, but i will try to fix this. Full auto is devastating. Very high ROF for a gas gun. Mags run out fast. Also, it is a gas guzzler. I have not shot a full mag yet, anly partial, but I do not think the bolt locks back on its own. That doesn't matter to me though.
Overall: If you want a great, realistic WWII gun, this is it for you.
Pros:
devastating
high ROF
okay FPS
very realistic
great detail
blowback
intimidating
Cons:
expensive gun
expensive mags
expensive bb's
expensive gas (for a boy with limited money to spend)
wobbles
may be some firing problems
I liked this gun soooo much I bought a second one..Seriously, I still say this is a great rifle and it was a nasty surpriise to the guys on the other team when I was engaging them before they could get at me. Which brings me up to why I bought a second one, DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO RUN RED GAS THROUGH IT!!!! I did and broke a few parts, including the metal bolt carrier assembly, and to my dissapointment, there is no parts support in the US (SI basicly said "Sorry, tough luck bub"). But I do luv the way it looks in an M1A1 folding stock (search M2A1 in the gallery of Airsoft Retreat Forum) that I had to pick up a second one as a parts gun (ouch), I did get the discount and free shipping, thank ASGI!!
Pros:
Still a good looking rifle
Everything I saidpreviously
Cons:
DOESN"T LIKE RED GAS, DO USE IT!
No spare parts support stateside.
Poor exploded veiw drawing in manual
This was a sweet gun for a year. It had its problems and i would have to take it apart only to find a pin or something was loose. I'd buy this gun again cuz it was a lot of fun. But if you buy this gun DO NOT USE GREEN GAS OR PROPANE i was playing at our local feild a month ago and when iI fired it the bolt snapped in half do to the propane.the worst part is no one sells a replacement bolt.
Pros:
AWSOME
Cons:
will break if u use propane.
