The Magpul USA STR Carbine Stock is designed to be a drop-in replacement buttstock for your M4 or M16 with a milspec sized buffer tube. As with most every product that Magpul releases, this stock has numerous features that make it incredibly advantageous on the field. It features an improved cheek weld for added comfort, as well as a shielded adjustment lever as well as a supplemental friction locking system that are designed to prevent accidental operation and minimize stock movement during use. On top of that, the STR stock features two water-tight battery storage compartments, two integral sling loops, a reversible QD sling point, and a replaceable butt pad. I absolutely love this stock. It looks like a SOPMOD and a CTR had a baby. It takes the weight, cheek weld and solidity of a SOPMOD stock and combines it with the locking mechanism, protected adjustment lever, and stunning looks of a Magpul CTR stock. This stock is a welcome improvement on any gun, especially front-wired guns, because its heavier weight moves the center of gravity more towards the rear, resulting in a lighter-feeling, quicker to aim rifle. I could not speak more highly of the STR.
Pros:
- Has the cheek weld of a SOPMOD stock, but looks like a CTR.
- Heavier than your average SOPMOD stock, which creates a rear center of gravity. This makes your gun lighter and easier to point.
- Has a protected adjustment lever.
- Can lock in place, which eliminates any play in the buffer tube.
- It's REAL Magpul, not PTS.
Cons:
- Only for front-wired guns (Doesn't store a rear-wired battery).
- Airsoft GI doesn't carry the tan stock.

A crane stock battery will not fit in this stock, as it is mainly designed for gas blow back application. However, you can use it to store extra CR123A type batteries. 3929 days ago 0
