The SOCOM Gear 9.5" Daniel Defense RIS II is a replica of the MK18 rail system used by the Navy Seals. This RIS features full MK18 trademarks including NSN numbers and cage code numbers. The RIS is machined from high quality aluminum and hard coat anodized for a stylish and protective finish. This is a unique 2 piece free float rail system. The Daniel Defense RIS II is two piece so it can accommodate a barrel mounted M203 launcher. SOCOM Gear is leading the way for fully licensed high quality airsoft accessories.

I love this replica RIS just as much as the real thing. These rails are the highest quality and are very very solid. It fits my Classic Army blowback M15a4 perfectly, and for those of you worried about the threading of the barrel nut, it screwed on to my CA's reciever threads effortlessly.
Only complaint is the the rails are about 1mm taller than the rails on my upper reciever, so trying to mount optics between the two is difficult. I just added a few strips of electrical tape to my reciever and mounted my old RAS fix to bridge the two pieces. My aimpoint and Eotech 551 mount on top of the RAS fix and the setup works perfectly.
Also, make sure to tighten down the Hex screws on the bolt up plate like you would lug nuts on a tire. If you just haphazardly crank down on them the rail will be a little crooked.
My favorite part of the rail is the fact that the bottom comes off. This makes accessing the wires on my M15a4 very easy. My gun is wired to the front, and normally with free float rails you have to disassemble the entire fron end of you gun to thread the wires through the hole in the front. Since the bottom rail comes off it makes disassembly much easier.
Pros:
Solid
Well machined
Fits CA threads
Bottom rail comes off for easy access to wires (or to mount an M203 if you want)
Cons:
1mm higher than the rails on my upper reciever (no big deal really)
It will not accept a mock gas tube unless you drill out the hole yourself. It's about half way drilled already, so all you have to do is drill the rest of the hole out. (again no big deal, but let someone who knows how to use a drill properly do it for you)
This is a superb rail system, I ordered it from another website and have had it for about a month. I've used it for a day in CQB, at 2 field games, and in a night game. Very lightweight, rigid, and sits flush with my receiver. Full trades are awesome, the removable bottom rail is cool but it's really only useful for having a grenade launcher or possibly trading with a buddy. The only problems that I've found is that if you attach anything that has a metal mount or screws it will scratch the rail, and that my AFG fits VERY snuggly on the rail. I took the screws out of the AFG and it slid on a little easier, but it was still tight. Also, it took me about 10 minutes total to attach this to my gun. There is a base plate that you slide on that fits into the gas tube slot, a ring that you tighten down on top of it, and then you just slide the rest of the rail on and add the 6 big bolts and you're done.
Pros:
Lightweight, looks AWESOME with a 10" barrel and an aggressive flash hider
Tons of rail space, I use an AFG with a Magpul RVG behind it for clearing rooms
NO WOBBLE whatsoever!! This rail WILL NOT MOVE once it's on!!
Sits flush with my 10" barrel
Sits flush with my receiver
VERY simple to install, 10 minutes and you're done
Rails aren't very sharp, unlike other rail systems I've owned
Cons:
Finish scratches easily while using metal attachments, showing the aluminum shine below
Very tight bottom rail, but you can just take apart your grip or sand the grip down to fit the rail
Very dark black, might be different than other black on your gun
Other than those, amazing rail! I would buy another one in an instant if I had another M4 to put it on.
I got this for my KWA LM4C to make it look more like a Mk18 CQBR, and received it not too long ago. Upon first inspection it is a lot lighter than I expected but still feels like a solid bit of aluminum. It wasn't scratched at all, and it came with everything needed, except an hex key and screw driver, to put it on. The black matches up with my receiver, not darker like I heard it might be, and the trades are painted on clearly on the top rail and on the inside of the bottom rail section. The rails aren't sharp either so I might not even need rail covers. All in all, this rail system seems like a quality piece and it looks great for that aggressive CQB M4 look. Worth the money!
Pros:
Sits flush with your receiver, giving an uninterrupted top rail.
Light but solid
Simple installation
Beautiful trades
Perfect shade of black to match most guns
Cons:
You need to drill out the hole to fit in your mock gas tube, but not a big deal unless you need it to look that much more realistic.
I with the bottom rail came down a little further, but that's more aesthetic than visual.
Functionally nothing, wish it came with tools though.

Krytac crb with pts mk18sd
I have a krytac crb with the mk18sd suppressor. The suppressor will not properly sit on the flash hider because the crb rail is to long. My question is can this rail be put on krytac crb and be compatible with my pts mk18sd suppressor without buying a longer outer barrel. Thank you.
