The make, caliber and rifling of the barrel are all beautifully engraved on this barrel and add to the overall look and realism. Unlike some lesser outer barrels, the Madbull Daniel Defense outer barrel is made with extremely tight tolerances to ensure maximum barrel stability. The fit and finish of this barrel easily surpasses low quality barrels that you might find in most clone AEGs, if you are looking for a outer barrel that looks great and functions perfectly then this barrel will definitely fit the bill. This barrel requires the use of a mid-length hand guard and will not work with standard hand guards.

Product Information:
I got this to use with the ProWin hop up unit and the MadBull tightbore barrel, but they don't "fit" in it. The hop up unit doesn't go inside far enough for me to put some receivers together. The inside gets scratched really easily, which might not be important at all. It might give a little weight to your gun, might be a pro or con.

Pros:
The piece connecting to the receiver is probably steel (used a magnet)
Seems pretty sturdy
Weight might be a cool factor

Cons:
The two piece design allows a little wobble
ProWin can't completely fit into this :(
The inside can get scratched really easily (sliding the inner barrel into it can scratch it and might not be a problem)
Weight might not be a cool factor if you want to run around with it

Will this barrel fit on a standard g&g raider?

Yes, however replacing the outer barrel will no longer allow the stock RIS to remain attached.
