LH MK16 Carbine Spring Powered Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[04584]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
This is a Spring Powered MK16 replica. The magazine is detachable, the selector switch moves, and the stock is functional, but there is no gearbox. This is a spring operated gun, it must be cocked before every shot.

This is more than a movie prop, it is a sweet spring-action rifle! First thing out of the box, I noticed its weight- about 5 lbs, not at all bad considering it's mainly plastic. Next I noticed the FREAKING HUGE product warning sticker on the ejection port area, which took me 35 minutes of careful work to remove. However, it was worth it to have this nice of a gun. I already own a tan SCAR-L, and wanted to add a black one to my collection without shelling out $100-200. This rifle was ideal! Other than a few cosmetic glitches (the guard around the mag release is backwards; magazine is a little short; barrel vents are solid, not cut out) this is a great rifle for only $25. The only real complaint: the folding stock is too loose in the folded position, and won't stay latched, but keeps flapping back and forth (plus of course that FREAKIN' HUGE STICKER). Otherwise this rifle is rock-solid, including the stock when it's locked in the extended position. (Tiny minor glitch- the safety has three positions, yet only one of them is "fire". All the other springers I've encountered have one "safe" and everything else is "fire".) This rifle seems very sturdy, the rails are solid, and it has a nice kick when firing. It should be quite acceptable for plinking, sniping, anything where full-auto is not required. Especially great deal for collectors or as a starter for someone just getting into airsoft, at only $25 you can't go wrong.
Pros:
Solid design, sturdy rail system
Great looks
A lot more moving parts than advertised- front and rear sights fold, rear sight is removeable, and it actually shoots
Cons:
tiny cosmetic flaws, plus wierd safety design
stock won't stay folded (but is solid otherwise)
HUMONGOUS GREAT LARGE FREAKING WARNING STICKER
I bought this thinking it was nothing more than a nice wall-hanger, but to my surprise it's a firing spring-air model that should be quite acceptable for plinking, sniping, anything where you don't need a full-auto. It's looks are comparable to D-Boys or JG on first inspection, and the cosmetic flaws are really minor. The first thing I noticed upon taking it out of the box was its weight, about 5.5 lbs, which is very good considering it's mainly plastic. The second thing I noticed was the FREAKING HUGE SAFETY WARNING LABEL stuck to the ejection port area, which took forever to get off. All in all, though, this is a really sweet addition to a collection, especially if (like me) you have a tan SCAR already and want to add a black one without shelling out 100-250 dollars. I wish ASGI would carry a few more items like this, geared maybe not so much to the hard-core airsoft shooter, but to the hobbyist/collector.
Pros:
Heavy weight, especially for plastic construction; sturdy rail system
Looks great!!
Front/rear sights fold down; removeable rear sight
Only $25!!! What more do you want?
Cons:
Folding stock won't stay latched in folded position
Hinky safety has three positions, but only one of them is "fire"
HUMONGOUS BIG LARGE NASTY WARNING LABEL takes 30-45 minutes to clean off
When you buy this gun, don't have ANY expectations on it or you WILL be disappointed. This is an OK gun for its cheap price but theres nothing special about it. Although when I tested it, it worked great, it shoots faster than any gun in the price range right out of the box!
Pros:
Looks cool!
Shoots fast!
Works decent.
CHEAP!!
Stock works ok, but it doesnt lock when folded.
Comes with a laser/flashlight combo that takes those small lithium batteries, I havent tried it yet though.
Cons:
The annoying sticker on the side really does take a while to clean.
Magazine had a crack in it (from the shipping and handling of it?)
Some of the screws on the gun were stripped slightly and I wasnt able to take some of it apart.
Again, ITS CHEAP, don't expect anything special about it.
The way you load the magazine is different than i thought it would be, you put in one bb at a time pushing the other ones down into the magazine which means no winding wheel.
