Knight's Armament M110 SASS AEG Airsoft Rifle by ARES (Tan)

Knight's Armament Company ( KAC ) is proud to be the privileged provider of the U.S. Military's main Semi-Automatic Sniper Platform. As early as the 1990s, the Nave SEALS adopted a modified version of the KAC SR-25 rifle, incorporating specific modifications based on military personnel feedback. This rifle, designated the SR-25, quickly became the favorite among special operation groups who required the stopping power of the larger .308 caliber, while retaining rapid-firing capability and portability of the smaller, M16 rifle variants. It's proven accuracy, combat effectiveness, and rugged durability later resulted in a much wider adaptation by the U.S. Marine Corps.

The legacy of the KAC SR-25 doesn't stop there. As a direct result of it's tremendous success within the Special Operation Groups, on September 2005, the Knight's Armament Company rifle won an Army competition and was selected to be the M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System. In April 2008, U.S. Army Soldiers from Task Force Fury in Afghanistan were the first in a combat zone to receive the M110.

The SR-25 and M110 are based loosely on the original AR-10 developed by Eugene Stoner, but feature additional refinements instituted by KAC to maximize parts compatibility with the AR-15 design, improve weapon reliability, and increased accuracy. Some ambidextrous controls include the fire selector and magazine release. The body is constructed out of metal with licensed trademarks on the left and right side of the lower receiver. The monolithic style upper rail offers the user a wide range of options when positioning their optic for the proper eye relief and lastly, the externals are finished off with a matte paint. The overall beauty of the gun is on the inside. Internally, this airsoft gun features an exquisite and unique version 2 gearbox. the quick change spring system allows the user to swap out springs quickly without having to disassemble the gearbox. The micro switch offers the user a quick trigger response and the built in ECU ( Electronic Control Unit ) allows the user to program their specified firing modes with the ARES programming unit ( sold separately ).
