New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

KWA is a well known airsoft manufacturer that has been creating high quality airsoft guns for some time. From airsoft electric guns to gas blow back airsoft guns, Engineered to Outperform, defines the quality of their products. Externally, the material they use is designed to withhold a serious amount of stress giving the gun the utmost durability. Internally, the parts used in their airsoft guns are matched to the highest degree for the smoothest operation over long periods of operation. Overall, their product truly performs on the field, KWA products stick to their motto, Engineered to Outperform.

The KWA Full Metal KM4 SR7 DEVGRU Airsoft Gun is a beauty. The entire gun is a dull matte black color that doesn't reflect light nearly as much as the glossy black finish common on some KWA pistols. The entire gun is rock solid, from the stock to the flash hider, there is no unusual wobble whatsoever. The rail system is handsomely constructed and built to realistic specifications, it is CNC machined from aluminum for a robust and lightweight build. The gearbox features 9mm ball bearings and heavy reinforcement to the front of the cylinder. KWA is a leader of innovative airsoft designs, this AEG is a magnificent display of their ingenuity and talent.

Product Information:
high rate of fire
durable
accurate
good for cqb and field
and well built

Pros:
many upgradable parts
fast trigger
accurate
takes lipos

Cons:
lil on the heavy side
cant do anything with the gearbox or else it messes up the gun and I did it professionally
N. GLOSENGER | 2014-11-15
Product Information:
I have had this gun for almost a year now and taken it to 6-8 battles and it has preformed pretty good! It is light and perfect for CQB, but I would not recommend it for field, the sr10 or sr12 would be good for field and this is CQB all the way. Also, CLEAN THE BARREL WHEN YOU GET THE GUN OR THE HOP UP WILL NOT WORK!

Pros:
Rate of fire is around 20 - 22 BPS
MID CAP mag is cool looking and holds 120 BB's
Light
Metal
Great for CQB
340 FPS

Cons:
Fire selector is a little too easy to move and sometimes changes when bumped. (could be a pro also)
Hop up is not the greatest, but will do.
Not good for Field.

Product Information:
This rifle is overall very good. I wouldn't recommend using this for engagements longer than 125 feet. The hopup is ok. It's not easily compatible with most hopups without a little bit of internal changing. The only real complaints I have about this is that the barrel nut is an extremely long process, and requires a lot of strength. I'm a decently strong guy and it took a good 40 minutes to take off.

Pros:
Superb trigger response, especially for stock internals.
Comes with a K120
Good shim job
Great gearbox
Heavy weight (could be a con for some)
New 2gx gearbox
Very sturdy
Nice trades on gun
Flash hider easy to remove
Lipo 'ready'. Wouldn't recommend using an 11.1 as the internals aren't that strong. IMO. 7.4 will be perfectly fine.

Cons:
Hard to disassemble
Parts aren't very compatible
Metal body, somewhat heavy. I think it's a good thing, but not all do
My echo1 Lipo does NOT fit into the crane stock. Not sure what they were thinking when designing that.
Heavy trigger pull
Barrel nut is ON there. Took a beating to take off

Upgraded Inner Barrel
So I'm planning to buy the Knights Armament QD/CQB suppressor(the shorter one), and I'm looking for an upgraded 6.03 diameter inner barrel. What barrel would you recommend?

Staff Answer:
The SR7 outer barrel is 10.5", and the QDC CQB barrel extension is 4.78" in length. Converted to millimeters, that is a total length of ~388mm. A standard length M4 363mm inner barrel would probably work best.

The KWA M4 series use Long Type motors as they are standard Version 2 Gearbox compatible.

That being said, modification to the gun will void the manufacturer/Airsoft GI warranty as changing the motor may also change the angle of engagement between the pinion and the bevel gear.

We have listed a few of the available motors below which our technicians favor for all platforms:

Tienly Long Type Motors [Link]

Lonex Long Type Motors [Link]

I personally recommend an 11.1 volt lipo. That's what I've been running in mine for about a year, and I haven't ever had trouble with it. It gives you a 25+ RPS rate, much better than you'll get with a 9.6.

I have the SR7, I switched the type 2 (i think) cylinder out for a type 1. I also replaced the spring with a slightly stronger one. My FPS is running at about 374-376 with .25s, probably would be just over 400 with .2s. If you want the FPS to be 400, just replace the cylinder with a type 1. your RPS will still be 20+, especially with a lipo, which I would definitely suggest.

(I have this same question)
As the gun shoots at 1.49 joules, .20 bbs would shoot at the stock feet per second found in the description, whereas .25 bbs would shoot anywhere from 300-350 fps. The heavier a bb is, the more accurate it will be because of the resistance to wind. Both are good bbs, but it depends whether you like accuracy or feet per second.
