JG SR16 Enhanced M4 Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[O06A00][02573 / F6619]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
It is an exact replica of the famous assault rifle that is in use with the U.S. Military today. The working charging handle gives this gun a realistic action that even higher priced guns like CA do not have. The M4 RIS comes with a M4 length RIS unit that will allow the user to mount accessories like flashlights, lasers, foregrip, etc. The RIS also includes a large battery box that can fit large batteries for extended play time. JG AEGs are fully upgradeable and compatible with most after market external and internal parts. This airsoft gun includes a metal hi-capacity magazine and is also compatible with other major brands of standard and high capacity after market magazines. This gun is a must buy for those looking for a good priced starter gun.

This is a revised review I have had this gun for about 2 months. This gun is basically a copy of the real steal gun made by Knights Armament ( No trademarks though) This SR16 or MkSR is a great dmr out of the box it shoots between 420 and 450 fps about 115-130 yd range on a full battery I plan to get a bipod and a barrel extension for it great dmr/ assault weapon good for recon/marksmen stealth loadouts NOT a beginner gun this is a high quality gun
Pros:
Good iron sights
great range
great fps
makes people bleed at 25 yds if hits bare skin
MKSR!!!!
mostly metal
great battery life
Cons:
RIS is a little wobbly
tight fit for the battery somtimes i have to unscrew the butt plate
too powerful for cqb so you best have a good sidearm
My brother ordered me this gun and I paid him back. When we got the rifle, I picked up out of the box and it was a nice feeling and had some weight (around 6 pounds). The only thing is that the rail's paint scratched, the front sight slightly crooked, the stock with a chip in it like a piece of plastic fell out, and that the battery compartment was dusty like it had been sitting out. My rifle looks as if it has been used in a match. I think this might be JG's fault on their building but GI claims to test fire these guns, why do they not check to make sure it isn't like this and consider that a customer doesn't want a cosmetically damaged rifle.
Fortunately, it's minor but I wish this wouldn't happen to me or others in the future who pay for a new gun, not one that looks used. Overall, this rifle feels nice and I am enjoying it so far and any cosmetic wear or other flaws can be fixed or the part can be replaced. Mine might just have been bad odds but I plan to fix it. I have experience with JG's rifles and they work for a good price. I would recommend this rifle or other JG rifles such as the 614 series and other M4/M16 rifles by them. I also recommend upgrading them since they are polymer, beginning to mid-level experienced player's guns. I do plan to purchase from GI again sometime.
Pros:
-Lightweight
-Full stock for large batteries
-Nice sling swivel
-Metal rails 'Metal mag-Feels solid and has some weight to it
-Comes with rail covers-For some reason the top R.I.S. rail specifically won't allow any to click into place (cheap quality covers but work)
-Metal integrated top rail-You want your optics to be on there sturdy
-Metal sight
-Tight bore inner barrel-Finally I have a gun with one, tight bore is a must, I know from experience
-Original with no markings or branding-If you like that kind of thing
-Good price-To build it off a standard M4A1 would cost over $200
Cons:
-Plastic receivers and stock-Less durable than metal-Also grey instead of black
-Bolt catch is non-functional
-My angled foregrip did not fit bottom rail did on the top one-The round metal between the rails stopped grip from fitting meaning the rails are not exactly the same
-Metal rear sight only windage adjustable, and the long range aperture has to be flipped up (in use) in order for the sight to lock down (JG shouldn't have made it like that)
-Battery space is tight but the easiest way to get it in is to pull fuse wire towards the bottom edge of the butt plate to make room.
-Stiff trigger-It's manageable
-This rifle may be shipped to you with some finish wear and other flaws
