Hatch XTAK Knee Pads (OD Greeen)
[S02E04][06764 / XTAK400]Hatch XTAK pads are the lightest and strongest product of it's kind ever produced. The hard thermal plastic urethane layer shaped like an 'X' on the outside of the pad create a reinforced protective layer that also bends with the arm. The shock absorbing high density foam provide excellent protection, and the Coolmax moisture wicking lining on the inside help provide additional comfort to the wearer. The straps to secure the XTAK to the wearer are made of spandex so they stretch and secure with Veclro panels. The Hatch XTAK design represents a whole new level of tactical protection.

These knee pads are fantastic. I ordered them because I wasn't thrilled with the reviews of the others, and although there weren't any reviews on these, they seemed to be what the guys at GI were using. (which has to mean something) So I took a risk and ordered them anyway, they have been simply amazing. Extremely comfortable, never fall down no matter how fast I run or hard I fall when diving, They don't etch into the back of my legs or cause any discomfort at all. (I am wearing pants, and can't vouch for use while wearing shorts) In the end, I would recommend these to anyone. My friends ordered the cheaper ones, and have definitely regretted it.
Pros:
Extremely Comfortable
Never Fall Down
Strong plastic on the outside holds up to a beating
Soft cushion on the inside provides for comfort, and protection.
Made of a great material. (I hose them off after every use and they're still holding up like new)
Grippy material on the inside where the knee goes, prevents the pad from moving.
Cons:
Price -- They're not very expensive, but comparatively speaking there are much cheaper options..(well worth the money though)
These are amazing! I recommend them for anyone that wants knee pads that are comfortable and protective. I slide a lot when I play indoor and they never move our of place or bug me. I have tried other kneed pads, but none can compare to these. Overall I think they are worth the cost.
Pros:
Comfy
Snug
High quality
Comes with a mesh bag
Cons:
Expensive for knee pads
These are great knee pads and well worth the cost
Great knee pads! Good size they fit very well. I'm 5'10' with more of a built body frame and they fit my knees with good coverage. Color is great also. It's not a weird OD green, looks like they would be a hint on the grey side in the picture but they are what OD green should be. extremely good quality! I don't see the canvas material around the plastic plate ripping very easy. The straps are elastic and conform very well to your leg. The straps also don't seem to pinch the back of your leg like some knee pads will. Velcro sewn on to back of straps to attach loose end so its not just hanging and getting snagged while moving. The front plates and buckles are all made of the same plastic which is good because its very durable rugged yet flexible plastic. also on the back of the pads there is dense foam to protected your knee with a perforated lining to let any collected sweat evaporate along with a rubber grip patch to help keep the pad in place and not slide up and down your leg. All in all its a great knee pad that I would not hesitate to buy again or refer a friend to purchase! Pros and cons are just my opinions don't let the cons discourage you from purchasing this product. They are just things I would have liked to of seen, but if they were present the pads most likely would not have the very reasonable price of $25.00 they would have an extra $10 or $15 added on.
Pros:
-very durable product
-solid construction
-spot on OD color
-great materials used ( I have paid more for knee pads with a lot less quality)
-X design is not just hype it does actually allow pad to flex much farther than most pads
-positive locking snaps on leg straps
-fit very well and are actually comfortable
Cons:
-there is only three evenly spaced squares on back of leg strap ( I would like to see the Velcro span the full length for more adjustability.
-stitching is good but I would have liked to of seen double stitching in what would be high stress areas.
-plastic flexes but it would be better if it flexed a little easier.
-knobs for buckle attachment are plastic and I would really like have seen metal. (plastic knobs are still very durable)
