Hatch XTAK Elbow Pads (Coyote)
[S02G06][10734 / XTAK550]Hatch XTAK pads are the lightest and strongest product of its kind ever produced. The hard thermal plastic urethane layer shaped like an 'X' on the outside of the pad create a reinforced protective layer that also bends with the arm. The shock absorbing high density foam provide excellent protection, and the Coolmax moisture wicking lining on the inside help provide additional comfort to the wearer. The straps to secure the XTAK to the wearer are made of spandex so they stretch and secure with Veclro panels. The Hatch XTAK design represents a whole new level of tactical protection.

I bought these to use with my multicam loadout. These elbow pads are comfortable and stay in place even if you wear them loosely. The coyote brown works really well with multicam and my plate carrier, which is also coyote. I think these are 100% worth the higher price.
Pros:
Comfortable
Good color
Cool design
Cons:
None that I can think of. Go ahead and buy them!!

(I have this same question)
Staff Answer:
Laying down prone is perhaps the most predominate reason. This is easically important for SAW gunners or DMR/Snipers deploying with a bipod out in open terrain. Hard rocks and debris can cut into elbows, making it uncomfortable and hard to provide suppression fire / accurate shooting as needed. 3958 days ago 0
