Gryffon Golem Chest Rig (Tan)
[ST08][15136 / 90101-003]The Gryffon Golem Chest Rig provides an amazing value for minimum price. The feature set on these chest rigs can all cost, at a minimum, $30 dollars for the entire set when purchased separately, but Gryffon Golem has created a chest rig with integrated magazine pouches, a kangaroo style internal pocket, and even extra molle space for additional pouches for only $14.95! The chest rig features magazine pouches that fit a variety of magazines, such as AR15/M4/M16, SR25, AR10, FAL, M14, AK47, AK74, etc. The magazines are secured via elastic and a Velcro flap. The flap can be adjusted for a close fit or removed. The pouches also have grommets in the bottom for drainage. On each side of the magazine pouches is a 4x3 grid of MOLLE webbing that can be used for the addition of magazine, utility, canteen, medical, and/or radio pouches. The shoulder straps have webbing that can be used to secure various pieces of kit like a tourniquet or radio speaker mic. They also have plastic release buckle on each side for quick donning and doffing. The shoulder straps are low profile so they add no bulk over body armor or under backpack straps. There is also an internal pocket that can be used to carry relatively flat items like a map or data book. Overall, this chest rig is an unbeatable value for the feature set it offers, and is great for those who are starting out, or for those who are looking into a new kit!

The Gryffon Golem chest rig is a very good beginners
chest rig. It has 3 M4/M16 pouches that hold 3 magazines in each for a total of 9 magazines in all. The M4 pouches are not removable, because they are sewn in to the rig. On the M4 Pouches the flap at the top is removable in saw you want an open mag setup, the flaps also extend with the Velcro on the interior of the pouch which makes it suitable for AK-47 style magazines. Their is also a admin pouch inside of the rig behind the magazines that is very large. The MOLLE webbing on the rig is actually very durable and the stitching is perfect. The only downside that I have see. With the rig is how uncomfortable the straps are and how irritating they are when it has contact with your skin, chances are you don't Airsoft with a tank top, so you should be good.
Pros:
Good stitching
Really lightweight
Holds 9 mags (universal)
Has an admin pouch
Fits all kinds if sizes of people (VERY big people)
Cons:
The shoulder straps are irritating
If your small and tighten it to your body the straps are gonna be very long and flop around everywhere
My play style is light and maneuverable and I love to get up close and personal and be on the front lines and this rig allows me to do that. When I run this rig I have a multi tool put onto the molle on the side, I use 4 hi cap m4 magazines in two of the pouches and a radio in the last one. I have also taken a shoulder holster and put it through the molle on the sides to hold my pistol, extra pistol mag, and a speedloader. Now I am a pretty skinny guy at 5'8 and I am able to fit this rig on but it isn't as tight as I would like. When I run around it bounces on me because the back strap that holds it to your body doesn't go down tight enough, and trust me I've tightened that thing as much as I can. The solution I found to this was to wear a backpack to help hold it down a bit but sadly it is still loose. So If you are small and skinny like me you are probably going to have trouble keeping this thing tight to your body, but that is the problem with a lot of rigs. I don't know if it would help but you can run it with a vest (like bob) that holds the plate carriers to kind of beef it up a bit and help it fit, but that depends on if you can pull that vest down tight enough. The one problem with running it with a vest underneath is that it will end up bringing up the cost to around $45. So I would just go with a different rig altogether. This is still an awesome rig though and for the price its a great buy! The pouch in the front though I found kind of useless because when you have gloves on and you have it tightened to your body its kind of hard to get your hands in there. Still, I would recommend it to anybody looking for a starting rig.
Pros:
Cheap!
Light
Can hold lots of mags
Plenty of molle space for utility pouches
It stays pretty cool
Easy to put on
Cheap!
Great buy and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a starting rig
Cons:
Can't go tight enough to fit my body
Kangaroo pouch is kind of useless with gloves
Sometimes when I switch mags the pouch cover gets in the way
I've had this for 2 weeks now and it has been perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever and it was a great buy
Pros:
Light
Comes with pouches
Easy to adjust
CHEAP
Cons:
Not that much mollie (get a backpack or battle belt)
