Lock and Load The Ultimate Pistol Carbine!
G&G made waves with the release of their GTP9 Pistol when it hit the market. Featuring an updated take on the traditional gas blowback system and an improved hopup design, the GTP9 was fast a staple of the airsoft field. G&G has brought this compact powerhouse to the carbine stage with the SMC9!
Externally, this gun proves to be the picturesque dream of every Pistol Caliber Carbine owner. It is big enough to provide a performance advantage and quality ergonomics, while still remaining compact and lightweight for proper close quarters play. It features an MLOK hand guard and folding stock to give you a full size form factor when you want it, or a smaller package when necessary. The ambidextrous charging handle and fire selector also make it perfect for left handed shooters as well as righties!
Internally, this carbine kit replaces the slide of the GTP9 with whom it shares a frame, with a new system to actuate the charging handle. This new system isn't just for looks though, as it also provides a burst fire function not found on the original pistol. This gives you the capability to control the battlefield with suppressive fire or with precise aimed shots. It is powered by green gas, stored internally in the fifty round magazine!
Cisco's Pick
This gun is pure fun! The G&G SMC-9 blew my expectations out of the water! At first glance this gun is very good looking, but after firing. It grew even more in love with the SMC-9. With the polymer and metal construction, this gun is very solid. The trigger is very light and feels as if it were tuned to perfection. Even though I personally would like a little bit heavier of a trigger pull, the audible break of the trigger make up for it. To top it all of, the SMC-9 has range and accuracy! I mean AEG range and accuracy! With other gas blowback guns, they sometimes are underwhelming with either of these. With the SMC-9, you will reach out and hit your target with ease! With the Downgrade Nozzles now available, you can take this beast indoors! All you really need for this gun is more magazines, but some accessories would be nice too!

Absolutely love this gun. I run it with .30 Lancer Tactical BB's and I know I'm hitting 250ft easily after adjusting the hop up. This gun is a perfect SMG for outdoor play, only wish the 50 rnd mags weren't so pricey. Can't wait for the drum mag to show up. Did almost lose a mag after accidentally hitting the mag release.
The hop up is a pain to adjust. If you lose the key you can take the flash hider off and adjust it by hand, if you have a suppressor you'll have to take the suppressor off to adjust the hop up so get it adjusted before you run it.
Pros:
Great range after adjusting the hop up
50 rnd mags hold a lot of gas. Can go through 100+ BB's with one fill.
Solid as a rock.
Cons:
50 Rnd mags are pricey at $50 a pop
Can easily hit the mag release under the trigger if you're running around.
Hop up is a pain to adjust, especially if you use a suppressor.
It's good what size bb does best my .25s get stuck
Pros:
Cons:
Absolutely love this gun. Its a great secondary for the the DMR/sniper role. The mags go through almost 2 full reloads before the gas runs out. I play mainly outdoors so its perfect for my DMR.
The main gripe I have is the hop-up adjustment. If you run this with a suppressor youll have to take the suppressor off to adjust the hop-up. The little hop-up adjustment keys are easy to lose, Ive already lost one. It does come with 2 of them but it would be nice if they make a longer key that could go through a suppressor.
Highly recommend using high powered gas. I play outdoors so not a big issue with the FPS being too high for indoor play.
Pros:
-rate of fire on full-auto is insane!
-very unique Titan-Fall-ish SMG
-easily hops .30mm BBs
Cons:
These cons arent that bad, theyre just little things to pick at. Its a great performing gun.
-rate of fire full-auto is insane! Can easily run out of BBs in a short amount of time. Until the drum-mag comes out anyway.
-trigger pull is a little too light for me
-50 rnd magazines are pricey
-can easily lose the hop up adjustment keys.
