The Umarex H&K Full Metal 417 (by VFC) is an extremely welcome addition to Umarex's line of high quality and unique AEGs. This Umarex 417 is the first fully licensed official H&K 417 to hit the market, and it does not disappoint. The receiver features beautifully engraved HK trademarks that are fully licensed by Umarex. The 417 is the 7.62x51 caliber version of the H&K 416 which and is typically designed for DMR roles. The most obvious differences between the 417 and the 416 are the magazine and lower receiver. The magazine of the 417 is much larger then the standard 416 due to the increased caliber size of the real steel rifle, however it does not do much for the airsoft version. The upper and lower receivers are also modified to handle the 7.62x51 cartridge that the real steel rifle shoots.The lower receiver of this AEG also features a color-filled fire selector as well as a highly ergonomic pistol grip which fits very comfortably in the user's hand. Moving onto the stock of this gun you will find that the crane stock on this gun features many improvements over the standard crane stock. First and foremost is the recoil pad, which in airsoft does not serve much of a purpose, but does make the rifle very comfortable to shoulder. The adjustment lever on the stock features a lower profile design which helps prevent the user from engaging the lever accidently. Finally, two sling attachment points are mounted on either side of the stock to allow the user to easily mount a sling. Moving onto the front of the gun you will notice a very solid free float rail system that is sturdily attached to the front of the receiver. The top rail of the Umarex 417 is completely monolithic allowing the user to mount a variety of optics in any position the user desires, and mounted on this monolithic top rail are H&K style iron sights, which are fully adjustable, very durable, and aesthetically pleasing.
The internals of the Umarex 417 are just as impressive as the externals featured on this AEG. VFC's gearboxes have continued to impress the airsoft industry and the 417 is no different. Self shimming gears make this airsoft gun shoot extremely smoothly and give the gun a great sound with little to no grinding. The VFC piston, motor, and drive train parts are also of very high quality and are sure to last. This gun is great! I got it out of a redemption from one of the mystery boxes back in march I believe, didn't get it till August but totally worth it! It was high fps which was great because I play out doors and the accuracy was incredible! It was completely realistic and the authentic trades make it amazing!

I ordered this gun on black Friday and I saw that the price had dropped from 450 to 363 and that was a deal I could not refuse. It took 6 days to ship so very fast shipping and boy when I opened the box I was so impressed. Absolutely no wobble. Anywhere. I love this thing to pieces I am taking this to my local field in a few days.
Pros:
The weight might seem heavy to some but for me its perfect.

Charging handle goes all the back not just to revel the hop up unit (which is also fantastic)
Cons:
The only con I can think of is the magazines are ubber expensive at 30 bucks a mid cap and 40 bucks for a high cap.
I used to run a m4 so i had to change pouches for the huge mags (m14 mag pouches work well, but be ready to get some muscle pulling them out)

OK got this aeg about a month ago and took it to two games all i can say is its amazing i frequently out compeat snipers it is very accurate and suitable for a variety of combat scenarios that said trigger unit broke on me already but it is a easy fix and VFC's are infamous for it. all and all its a excilent gun accurate and the range is incredible the only problems i have is wight and mag size,its not too heavy but after 4 hours my arms start to get tired and im a relatively strong guy mag wise its a little bit of a hassle to find vests or pouches that they fit but its worth the effort.
Pros:
high accuracy,amazing range not to mention the cool factor and its got tons of battery space as well as the price but its worth every penny and its a HK so that right there is good enough reason to own it
Cons:
the wight and the mag size but thats about it and of course the trigger system sucks but thats just VFC's in general

Can a polarstar fusion engine be installed in this gun?

I DON'T KNOW FOR 100% but it has a m4 nozzle, and uses v2 parts so a P* Jack in it. IN THEORY, not the same gear box shell. You can how ever put a custom P* fusion form bingo custom gun works in it. YOU CAN NOT PUT A STOCK P* FUSION IN IT.
