(Discontinued) G&G Full Metal Close Range Weapon (CRW) Airsoft Rifle Pistol
[05153 / EGR-016-CRW]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The G&G Full Metal Close Range Weapon is ideal for CQB scenarios. The short barrel allows the user to operate in confined spaces and turn corners without difficulty or exposing his position. In addition it has a Free Float RIS that enables the user to mount all the accessories that are popular for CQB scenarios such as flashlights, laser, etc. The flat top receiver and removable back up iron sight make it easy to attach different optics systems. G&G was able to keep a clean look to this gun without a PEQ box because the Ready-Mag System is actually the battery compartment. G&G provides the shell of one of their 450 rounds high capacity magazines to hold the battery without the use of a PEQ box, ultimately leaving more space on the rails for accessories like flashlights and lasers. This gun is an excellent choice for CQB considering that upgrading a standard M4 of other brand would cost several hundred dollars more.

First off this gun is extremely well built, as all G&G guns are. This is the most compact gun I've ever fired, I could imagine how easy hitting up corners would be with this gun.
The receiver has a wonderful rough texture to it, much different than say, Classic Army, or KWA.
(Nothing against KWA, I love KWA)
The gun comes equipped with a spare mag holder, that actually holds the battery. (In the spare mag)
The gun is wired through the side of the gun, the wires have been pushed through a small hole under the bolt catch.
Now the internals, the barrel and hopup are EXCELLENT!!! The gun shoots at a sturdy 330, and yet, can almost match the range of my KWA guns. The compression is very good, the piston and gasket make a very good seal inside the cylinder.
(A note for owners that want to wire the gun to the front)
A customer brought one by the other day, and requested installation of deans plugs, and for the wires to be rerouted to the front.
ASGI's tech said it couldn't be done, as did some other techs.
First step was removing that stupid pace of metal off the side of the gun..
After looking at the front of the inside of the upper receiver, I saw that indeed, there was no hole for the wires to go through, like the traditional airsoft AR receivers.
After snooping around I found a small slot under the front receiver pin, the wires rested perfectly inside, and after fiddling with the wires and the hopup unit, and sliding the receivers together, everything fit together perfectly!
Pros:
Great Accuracy
Very compact
Incredible range for 330 fps
Nice sound, has a nice snap to it
Sturdy internals, can run a Lithium Poly. with no problems
Comes with a QD sling mount, with an adapter on the back of the receiver.
Very nice texture on metal components
Cons:
Wired through the side, kind of a pain to wire to the front
Huge chunk of metal stuck to the side, covering over the ENV. M-4 trades.
Other than those two things, that's it.
The first guys review is a very good one and should be taken seriously, plus it saved me alot of typing!! I gave it 4 * because of the battery. With a little tweaking on the mag you can get it to stay in place.
Pros:
Well built
Wicked
Great internals
Cons:
Battery in clip is a pain
Sometimes battery mag falls out during shooting
