Description:
The Airsoft GI Full Metal 1911 Desert Assassin Airsoft Gun is a high performance custom gas blowback pistol. The base gun is the SOCOM Gear 1911 which comes with an HSS Pistol Retention lanyard. Standard features on the gun also include the rubberized grips, three hole trigger, skeleton hammer, railed frame for mounting accessories, and dotted sights for easier aiming. Unique to the Airsoft GI Assassin is the Madbull Barrel kit that extends the inner barrel to twice the length of the stock barrel and tightens the diameter to 6.03mm. The outer barrel has a threaded adaptor for the Gemtech Outback barrel extension that we included to attach to in order to cover the inner barrel. By extending the inner barrel on the already fantastic SOCOM Gear pistol the user will notice a much tighter grouping, especially at further distances, and a very large increase in muzzle velocity. No matter where you play or what your needs an Airsoft GI Assassin can be of assistance.

just received this gun in the mail earlier today. at first glance, this thing almost made me squeal like a girl. I picked it up and was amazed how sturdy and realistic it felt. I was too excited to get it assembled so i didnt shoot it stock. but with the inner barrel extension assembled, it looks like it shoots just as hard as my M4. also, the lanyard that comes with it seems to be made out of high quality materials so thats another plus. I am very pleased with this gun. although i have yet to test it out in the field, i would recommend this gun.

Cons:
the threading on the madbull inner barrel extension comes loose easily especially when you try to assemble the outback silencer and when shooting. to fix this i took a couple of pliers and tightened it as hard as i could. hasn't come loos yet after a few mag fulls. we'll see how it performs game day.

the Desert assassin is a great piece. the only trouble I've had was trying to find a proper holster to accommodate the suppressor, without a redic draw distance. Im running Propane with the AI adapter, and this thing shoots so hard, that I wouldn't even want to be hit by it. the chrono with propane was slightly higher, hitting 380-390 FPS.
The ASGI D/A field strips just like a real 1911, and has the same balance and feel as my parkerized colt 1911.
Pros:
-Full metal, you'll look pretty scary waving this thing around.
-pistol retention lanyard
-more than enough gas held to clear the mag
-gas dump valve on mag
-most accurate 1911 I've held, and I own a real one.
Cons:
-thumb safety feels a little cheap, doesn't have a satisfying click.
-some of the coated black metal parts wear easily.
-you have to clean this like any other weapon. don't be cheap. clean it.
