Condor Outdoor MPS Combat Chest Armor (Tan/Tactical Vest)
[U01A03][04637 / MPS003]
Description:
The Condor Outdoor MPS Combat Chest Armor is similar to the plate carrier worn by the 19th SFG. Aside from Condor Outdoor's top-quality workmanship, what separates the MPS from other plate carriers are the integrated magazine pockets that can hold to 3 M4/M16 magazines each. This feature alone makes the MPS one of the best deals on the market today! These pockets are universal for other magazines like AK, M14, etc., and since they are integral, you still maintain the ability to add more mission specific pouches. The outer pockets can be used for a radio, handgun, smoke or flashbang grenade, etc. The front plate-carrier bib offers further real-estate for mounting modular pouches to suit your needs. There are 4 side release buckles to offer you in-and-out access in a hurry. This MPS Chest Rig is apart of Condor Outdoor new line up of 1000 Denier Gear.

I bought this vest because it was decently priced and had integrated mag pouches. For the price, it works very well. Its adjustable for height and girth so it will fit properly. Adjusting the straps is fairly simple, just fiddle with shoulder straps and lower back strap until it fits nicely. If you are on the skinny side, short, or both, you'll spend a bit more time getting the vest to fit right. This vest also fits more snugly once there mags in the pouches, due to the way the vest adjusts internally. There is plenty of MOLLE space on both the front and back. Not as much as some other plate carriers, this vest leaves the very top of your chest exposed. Overall, the vest feels pretty sturdy. No rips, tears, or frays so far. For almost $60, you save money on pouches while getting a decent vest.
Pros:
Integrated mag pouches can hold plenty of ammo
Adjusts fairly well and easily
Plenty of MOLLE space
Materials do not feel cheap
Cons:
The shorter and/or skinnier you are, the more excess straps you have to tuck away after adjustment
Fits loose when pouches are empty
Not as much body coverage as some more expensive plate carriers
The construction of the vest is pretty good and their is a lot of molly both in the front and back of the vest. The six built in mag pouches can hold 3 mags each, which is a plus. I am 5'6 and 125 pounds and the vest fits snug. One problem with the vest is as you start taking mags out, the vest begins to get loose. Also its not really tan, it is more of a mix of OD and tan.
Pros:
Sturdy construction
Built in mag pouches
A lot of molly
Cons:
Vest gets loose as you start taking mags out
OD-TAN color
Love this carrier! It is a great starting carrier if you don't want to spend a whole lot or you are just starting out.
Pros:
Versatile
Looks good
Durable
holds a ton of stuff
Cons:
Takes FOREVER to get it to fit right
kinda wide in the front
weird mag retention system
