What you see at first is an unassuming sweater. At least, thats what I saw when I first got mine 6 months ago. For all of you to benefit, I decided to put this thing through hell before I passed judgement.
Yes, it looks unassuming at first, but what you emerge with is a low price tank of a sweater. I've run through pricker bushes, rolled and crawled through muck, and camped out in the scorching heat in this thing.
My jeans, my cargo pants, my t-shirts, my long sleeve shirts, my sneakers, my boots, ALL DESTROYED. This sweater, is all that remains.
Prickers cannot cut it, it laughs at the elements, and slowly became THE item to have with my local airsoft team.
My last use of this item was 06/05/2010, a hot and humid as hell day in CT. Despite this being a sweater, I still wore it.Many of the players sweated out of thier gear, got ticks, cuts, and poison ivy. Not me though, this sweater is just light enough to use in 85 degress with heavy humidity.
Pros:
The Pros?
It's a durable sweater. I can't say to much for breathibility and frabic and what not, all I know is that thing has set on fire (at least someone TRIED to) It didn't even catch.
It absorbs sweat well when you need it.
It keeps you warm when people are bundled up in coats.
Did I mention it's hard as hell to destroy?
Oh yes, and THUMB HOLES!
Finally, you can wear your gloves without your long sleeves hiking up your arms. (That was sadly enough, my main reason for buying it)
It's $25.00
It fits your body like a glove most times
It's made by Condor. My first plate carrier was a Condor, it's quality and durable stuff.
Cons:
The Cons?
Its up to the user to be honest.
Some people hate the very synthetic mateirals it uses.
It's Tight (some people whine about it, don't know why.)
Teammates try to steal it/ask you to buy you one
Overall, more than worth it. I'm still on my first one, and after 6 months of abuse, it holds up better than some of my teammates Propper BDUS.
I ain't no chairsofter either ^.^
Oh yeah, did I mention it has THUMBHOLE? Brilliant!
I hope this helped. Be safe, have fun, and call your hits.
An amazing buy, to be honest. Picked it up to give myself an OD top, got more than I expected. It's incredibly breathable, and, playing in 80 degree weather the other day, it felt like I was wearing a T-shirt. The thumb holes keep the end of the sleeves under your gloves, and your turtleneck adds a nice layer of protection for your neck. All in all, it just feels great to wear, and being dragged through mud and pricker bushes, it seems durable enough.
I'm 175 pounds, 6'0". It fits me like a glove.
Pros:
Very breathable
Comfortable to wear
Looks great with Multicam
Thumb holes
Neck protection
Durable
Snug
Cons:
Snug (Some may want something that moves around more)
No Velcro for patches
Good cool weather base layer. Material is very tight, but stretches just like UA gear. Nice thumb holes to keep your sleeves down and good long zipper to cool off or reach an internal layer.
Pros:
Light. Warm, but breaths well. Seems durable so far and color has held through a few wash cycles. Actually looks "nice" not cheap. You can wear it with jeans as a regular think sweater, and just as well with camo.
Cons:
It is tight, so if you plan to run anything under it, or are on the edge of a size choice, go bigger. I think it also shrunk a touch on first wash, which is a big deal when it runs so small anyway.
