Classic Army is a leading manufacturer of Airsoft products, setting standards for the entire industry. Classic Army produced the first full metal production M4 and MP5 AEGs. Through their years of experience and knowledge, Classic Army has developed their creed of Total Performance
The CA M110 ARS2 MKII comes stock with a metal receiver that is bulkier and wider than the standard M4/M16 bodies and allows for greater magazine capacity. The crane stock is great for adjusting the airsoft gun to the perfect length you are searching for. It also comes with flip up front and rear sights. The rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation. The full metal RIS allows for easy installation of all the accessories you need in the field such as lasers, flashlights, and bipods. Bought one because it is the only M110 on the market that uses the V2.5 gearbox. The reason that is a big deal, is that it adds more air volume that will greatly help push heavier BBs without loosing energy. Like I said this is the only M110 that actually looks like a KAC M110 SASS and uses the V2.5.
Upon receiving the gun I took it out back and shot it. The range was decent, and the gun felt super solid. The shimming however was horrendous, it was very high pitched and sluggish. I immediately opened the gearbox(rip my warranty) and started work.
Internal features
-steel gears(very nice)
-9mm ball bearing bushings
-in line mosfet(wired to deans)
-Quick change spring gearbox shell, also radiused from the factory
-weak ferrite motor
-plastic 19 tooth piston(no AoE correction, piston had bad PME issues, last 3 teeth are steel)
-plastic ported piston head(no bearings)
-brass V2.5 cylinder(decent internal finish)
-plastic cylinder head(1 o-ring, good air seal)
-plastic air nozzle with o-ring
-M110-120 spring(375 fps with .20s)
-steel ARL
-well designed ambi controls
-plastic rotary hopup
-brass 509x6.03mm inner barrel
Internally it was ok, apart from the poor shimming and the piston already stripping after 50rds, its a solid platform to build on. Personally I dropped in a SHS piston, double O-ring cylinder head, metal o-ring air nozzle, a Guarder SP120 spring, and a ZCI High Torque motor. Now it is running at it's Max potential.
All in all, if you are looking to build a M110 SASS this is the best option to do so. However the price is kinda steep for the quality I of the internals you are getting.
Pros:
-External build quality is 10/10
-Correct design for a KAC M110 SASS
-Functional bolt catch(ambidextrous)
-mosfet, rotary hopup, steel gears, great shell
-quick change spring can be accessed by removing buffer tube(as you would on a real AR)
-includes 2 KAC style rail covers and a KAC style foregrip, both black
-rear iron sight is very well made
-comes with gun bag
-works with A&K/G&P mags
Cons:
-poor shimming for the price
-weak/cheap motor for the price
-piston showed signs of Premature Engagement(PME) after 50 rds
-come with a hi-cap(can be a pro for some)
-user manual has nothing specific for the gun(shows AK, M14, M4)
-A&K/CA suppressors will NOT FIT over the barrel
