New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

This is the stock wire set for a Classic Army AK. It's a good idea to change the wires and switch assembly on your gun every so often, depending on how much to you play, to keep your gun in tip top shape. This wire set may work in other manufacturer's AK but cannot be guaranteed by Airsoft GI.

  • Professional installation is recommended. Improper use or installation of upgrade parts are 99% of the time the cause of failures of these items.

NOTE: The image provided is misleading! The wire I recieved did NOT have the external prongs for contact with the selector plate. It turns out CA decided to remove the prong, thereby taking the need for contact with the selector plate out of the equation. When I thought about the possible reasons for this, it turns out it was a smart move because: 1) Bypassing the selector plate reduces resistance, 2) The prongs doesn't always make sufficient contact with the selector plate, this creates heat which can deform that plate and impede it's movement (happened to me before), 3) Constant friction will eventually wear down the area of contact, which allows oxidation, which reduces conductivity.

Besides, we all know the prong & plate system is useless since the trigger is locked when the safety is on. I give this 5 stars for improving electrical reliability and for removing a useless feature from my AEG.
