The CYMA MK5 Front Hand Guard w/ RIS is made to replace the outer barrel section and hand guard on the Cyma CM041. This hand guard kit may work on other manufacturers brands MK5 but cannot be guaranteed by Airsoft GI. This kit will give the MK5 more potential because of the rail sections. The rails will allow the user to mount accessories like flash lights and vertical grips that will come in handy during play.

For those of you new to airsoft, and want some rails on your MP5 this is a good place to start. I actually had bought the $50 RAS system, But I was sent this one.
This was placed on a JG MP5A4, (Full stock version)
Do not buy this if you have the telescoping stock!!! There is not enough room for a battery inside this system!!!
This is actually closer to a mod-kit than an Add-on, It comes with the rail unit itself, an All metal outer barrel, and bottom twisty hand-grip.
You start with the metal barrel peice which will take a bit of dissasembly of your gun to get on, it replaces a few of the spacers that cover the shine of your brass barrel and simplifies your (under the hand gaurd) area by summing it all down to one peice. After cutting a few (anti-modification) tabs off of the MP5 a little sanding and it slid right on, it took maybe 15 mins. Truly is a shame, the metal barrel is beautiful in itself and adds weight to the otherwise lightweight gun, but the Rail system slides over it, completely concealing the inside, Its well made and doesn't interfere with hop-up or the (aesthetic) cocking lever. The rails are secured to the composite unit with some heavy duty, large size allen screws, and the rails are full metal. The handgrip slides on, and when tightened, fits good and snug, not much wobble if any.
What I really liked about this unit was just how natural it fits the gun, it contours with the MP5 perfectly. And once you have attached this peice, don't worry about taking it off, Because you will never want to.
Pros:
Well constructed and sized.
Full metal one peice outer barrel
Full metal rails
Good strong system
Natural look and feel
A free semi-decent/good handgrip!

Cons:
Not what I ordered
All guns will require some modification with new parts, So thats not a con.
This is a cool product but like everyone else I can confirm that it does need some modification to either your gun or the metal barrel insert to fit something like a JG.
Great quality though... the plastic isn't super thick but its durable... not brittle and hard. The plastic has just a little bit of flex to it. The rails of course are metal.
I won't spout off just another quote of the review before me but I will say that you CAN actually use this in a front wired gun... you have to use a nunchuck style battery that will basically straddle the barrel on the inside of the handguard.
This is the same front handguard that is on some of the cyma mp5's as well as the aftermath broxa evolution and the GSG-5 cybergun
solid construction
metal rails
great price
tight fit once mounted
a little hard to put on
Pros:
Cons:
Over all I am very please with this product. I have a TM MP5A4 and the main thing I did not like about the gun was the fore grip. I was always discouraged to find similar grips selling for much more. I was then torn whether to get the metal version($50) or the $25 dollar version. I got this one and was very happy that I did. It took a little work to get this on my gun but it was nothing that required a lot of knowledge to do. It was all very basic. This adds some much needed weight to the front end of the gun.
Pros:
Instructions were in English
Solid build
Adds much needed weight to the front of a full stock MP5
Modifications to gun were easy to make to make this fit
Cons:
Some minor modifications were needed
Instructions were in English but were a little difficult to understand
Over all this was the best value per dollar purchase for my MP5 I have made.
