The Blackwater Full Metal 1911A1 CO2 Blowback Pistol Airsoft Gun is built off the KWC Full Metal CO2 1911 Line. This airsoft pistol has all the standard features of a modern 1911. An underslung rail system allows for the attachment of tactical lights and lasers. A three dot sight helps create a clear target sight picture. The grips are contoured and textured to give you maximum comfort and traction. Both the ambidextrous manual safety and grip safety are fully functional. The slide has cocking serrations on the front and rear. The slide also features the Blackwater trademarked Logo on both sides. Internally the Blackwater 1911A1 is rock solid and is more than ready to use the Co2 magazine that it is included with. When firing this 1911A1 on Co2 you will be blown away, the kick is incredible! With each shot the slide recoils very crisp and fast producing a very hard kick. The next best thing is that Co2 pistols are more than capable of working in cold conditions, meaning that this gun will cycle properly where a green gas pistol would not. The Blackwater Full Metal 1911 is a rock solid choice when deciding on an affordable airsoft pistol.

The Blackwater CO2 is an almost full metal (despite the outer barrel, trigger and some of the innards) co2 powered blowback pistol. The kick om this thing is incredible, and feels quite realistic. It takes Elite force 1911 mags and does not waste much gas despite being a blowback. Overall its a well rounded gun. However, after one big drop, the entire thing exploded, the spring and end pieces that hold the safety and slide lock in place went flying, and the gun became totally useless. After searching through forums and asking many a question as to what parts may work, I was pointed to 1911 Hi-Capa parts, which were my best option. The spring and safety end fit nicely, but the slide lock did not, meaning it can easily fall out in combat and bam, you have half a pistol.
Pros:
Full metal (Respectively)
Realistic in texture and weight
Awesome looking
Cooler than your Grandma's apple pie
Mags are easy to get ahold of
Cons:
Parts are impossible to find
Requires lubing often
There are a lot of parts within the gun
An amazing airsoft sidearm!
The Blackwater M1911 CO2 airsoft handgun is made fully of metal with the exception of the side grips, those being some sort of plastic. It has great weight to it, not too much where it would hurt your arm whilst holding it up, but also not so light where it simply feels unrealistic. The gun works and feels exactly like a real life M1911!
The recoil is incredibly satisfying. It isn't by any means wimpy, and it isn't so strong that it throws off your aim. It feels simply just right. I have never fired an actual handgun, but the recoil on this pistol feels pretty darn legit.
The sounds that the weapon makes when you pull the magazine out and put it back in, when you work the slide, and when the hammer goes forward are music to my ears. It sounds tough, and reliable.
I've had this pistol for about five days as of this review being written. I've taken it out every day so far and fired it for at least an hour each time. Absolutely no misfeeds, malfunctions, jams, or anything! Once I handed this pistol over to my friend so that he could try it out, he fell in love instantly. He even said he would consider buying one!
Pros:
-Full metal
-Rail for accessory mounting on the underside of the barrel
-Neat bear paw design on the side of the weapon
-Shiny accents compliment the look of the weapon
-White dot sights for easy aiming
-CO2 cartriges go inside of magazine instead of grip
-Satisfying recoil
-Very CO2 efficient. I put around 60-70 BBs through the weapon using one cartridge
-Incredible rate of fire! You can fire this as fast as you can pull the trigger!
-Ambidextrous thumb safety
-Working grip safety!
-Balanced weight
Cons:
-When I first tried to load the magazine, the spring was incredibly tough. Hurt my fingernail. I recommend a speed loader. The spring gets easier to pull down as it's broken in.
-Includes only one magazine, but that's to be expected. Extra magazines are somewhat expensive
The Full metal 1911 feel just like the real one. If you want realism, this is the pistol you need. The blowback system makes you feel so powerful when you shoot with it it's amazing. I've fired a lot of airsoft version of real pistols, and this one is the closer I've seen so far at a low price.
Pros:
- Easy disassemble and cleaning.
- The recoil feels real
- Heavy, just like a real version
- Solid metal frame, nothing loose
- Solid Metal slide, no chance of breaking off
- Great accuracy for a pistol
Cons:
- Hard to reach the hop up unit, you actually need to take off the slide
- Sometimes you can hit the safety without noticing it when taking the gun off the holster, but it is pretty obvious when you are aiming down the sight and it's easy to take it off.

Not sure what the part is called, but when you lock the slide back, you can see the front of it. The part keeps sticking on something, but I'm not sure what.

Is in normal for the slide to stick before the cycle ends?
Not sure if this is just my pistol, or if it is common. After about 6 shots per mag the slide will stick, but it doesn't get caught on the slide release, and i have to manually pull it back and release it again.
