I got this gun because I am a big fan of Israel's weapon systems. This looks amazing. During the last few days i have been trying this out at OP Sudden Strike 3. It shot around 250fps with .25g bb. at first the hopup was up to much but after a few thousand rounds i was able to adjust it. My friend who has a g&g m14 shot the same distance but his gun shot 350 with a .25.

Product Information:
The TAR is a great airsoft gun. The body is great. No cheap body parts. Although GI chronoed mine at 380 the real fps is around 315. Oh and the tag from Ares that tells what they chronoed the gun at and who tested it was missing. Get this gun if you like the TAR, but if you want to get a truly awesome upgraded skirmish weapon be prepared to do some upgrades and modifications on one of the worst accessible gearboxes ever (11 screws and 4 pins not all easy to get to). The barrel length is NOT 363mm it is about an inch longer 388mm. I said a lot of things wrong with this gun only to give you a realistic idea of the system. I LOVE this gun. I sold my whole arsenal to get this gun and I am not disappointed. The accuracy was about as good as a stock JG gun, but after installing a piston head, m4/16 air nozzle, Tanio Koba Hop Twist barrel and a new hop up bucking I can out shoot almost everyone in our airsoft club and the surrounding clubs in the state barring a few snipers and gas powered weapons systems.

Pros:
The body is SOLID and easy to shoulder. It feels perfect in my shoulder even better than my P90 or M4.
Comes with great gears and VERY solid gearbox and 8mm metal bushings. The spring release system makes it easy to change out the fps and to work on the gearbox. The gun is also equipped with a mosfet stock which is nice for Lipo setups or just a little better ROF

Cons:
The internals are decent, but the piston is not after market compatible without modification. The air nozzle is kinda leaky (M4/M16 size air nozzle). The piston head is not ported. The motor is soldered to the wiring. Also the "Unique" product number on the side of the gun is a sham unless GI sold me a used gun, because I saw the same manufacturers number on the side of another TAR in a different review. Also a good thing to note the stock hop up bucking is Very soft. If you want to upgrade to a higher fps you might end up ripping it. The shimming is about as good as a stock JG gun. Enough to get by with the stock system but could be better.

the tar 21 is overall a very good gun internally and externally. it has a very unique design to the gun that makes it very catchy. i sold my whole arsenal for the ares tar 21 and i dont regret it.

Cons:
the mars red dot scope has ALOT of paralex.(the dot stays in the middle of the sight, not where your aiming at)
i perfer to replace the MARS with a eotech 512, it has no paralex.
