The ARES PPSH-41 Vintage WWII Airsoft Gun is a great choice for the avid player or novelty collector. The build quality on this gun is amazing, it's made from steel and wood, just like the real one. The Ares PPSH even field strips like the real article. Included with this amazing looking gun is a 2000 round high capacity drum magazine. Internally this gun features Ares' new internal design which includes a reinforced piston, ported polycarb piston head, and a quick change spring system. Ares have recently undergone an internal overhaul across the board, and this gun has been included in it. To top everything off, the exquisite externals and solid internals, Ares have fitted this gun with a blowback system. Ares has long been known as one of the best companies in the industry with regards to attention to detail, and it really shows with this PPSH.

This is by far the most amazing and realistic airsoft gun that I have ever owned. It's full metal and wood which is awesome it's also very easy to maintain.
Pros:
The gun is awesome. Mine shoots at 365 fps, and is really powerful and it has a great rate of fire. Also the 2000 round hi cap mag is great, because I never have to reload.
Cons:
The only problem with his gun is that I don't really want to use it in fear of damaging it. It's just such a perfect replica that its more a collectors item than a practical weapon.
Overall simply outstanding! Super realistic with so many features of the real thing. The battery is easy to install/remove and the drum mag works perfect. The blowback effect is great and fairly loud to shoot. The rof is almost right on to the real thing and it shoots hard and straight. I agree with what one of the other reviewers stated about it being more of a collectors item than a practical skirmish gun. The drum is right on with the real one, in the heat of battle a pain to reload, carry extras. I put an authentic sling on mine but it's for looks only as the sling attachments aren't strong enough to support this heavy gun slung. I also agree that the selector could be better, should've been made of steel and be a little more secure. Also I too hope for some banana mags for some added realism. Overall it's a thing of beauty and rate it 5 stars.
Pros:
Very detailed replica, hicap drum, easy battery replacement, hard shooter, nice rof, metal receiver and drum, beautiful wood stock.
Cons:
Heavy but just like the real one so only a con if you skirmish with it, selector delicate, sling attachments aren't strong enough to support the gun in the slung position due to its weight. No banana mags available.
I bought this gun about 6 months ago, and it really performs.
It shoots around 370 FPS and is pretty consistent. It doesn't have a painted tip, but rather a plastic cap that can be 'taken care of' pretty easily.It's also nice and heavy, and the drum holds a lot of ammo.
On the down side, you'll need at least a 9.6 to run this gun at it's best, and a few small parts will come off after a while. For me, it was the plastic tab that holds the charging handle back when you open it, and the small metal door on the back that hides the button to open the butt plate. Also, it jams when it's low on batteries, but that can be fixed by pulling the charging handle back, ejecting the bb.
Overall, it's a beautiful gun that performs better than most other WWII replicas.

-Makes me feel bad ass when I use it
Cons:
-Small parts may come off. (though, none of them are extremely important.)
-It's heavy. (Don't get this for your 11-year-old son.)
-No stick mags, or spare drums for sale anywhere.
-Battery hog
-BB hog
