The ARES MK-43 M60 Airsoft Gun is a new type of SAW for the practical airsoft squad gunner. This gun is extremely light due to the plastic construction of the body, but don't make the mistake of thinking that because it's plastic it's a low quality AEG. Ares has been in the airsoft business for years and they are one of the best attention to detail oriented companies on the market. The polymer construction gives the MK43 a robust build quality that rivals most full metal guns because the polymer flexes instead of fractures under impact. Some parts of the exterior are made of metal, like the bipod and the bottom rail. Since the overall weight of this gun is manageable by most players Ares have included a vertical grip that you can attach to the rail for precise aiming and increased mobility. Internally the MK43 features a full metal gearbox with Ares' famous quick change spring system. To procedure to change the spring on this gun literally takes 5 seconds; first open the receiver cover, then push the spring guide into the gearbox a bit, life the lever on top of the gearbox to free the spring guide, and voila, the spring is free! There are no tools or special airsmith training required. Another great feature about this gun is the auto winding magazine. The motor to wind the magazine is connected to the trigger switch in the gun, so the mag only winds when the trigger is pulled. Ares has been, and continues to be, a leader of airsoft innovation, and this new MK43 is a prime example of that innovation.

This has to be the best M60 I have ever had or used. The quality of the product is outstanding and the RIS is extremely sturdy. This has to be the easiest gun to take apart in the history of airsoft. With two screws the entire gearbox is out. The gun has a quick change spring so the gearbox does not explode when you take it apart. The battery area is massive, there is not an airsoft battery that i have not been able to fit back there. One of the pest parts is that it weighs half of all others. I carried this for three hours straight and it was much better than the A&K one I tried later that day.

Is this going to last me?
I've just come across a store that has one near me I need to know before I spend about 500+ on this thing yes I know it's made of strong poly but I'm 6'3 I move really fast but want to hit hard and this seems like it would be my kind of gun aside from my beloved golden child g&g. Can this m60 handle some punishment or should I just go take my money somewhere else?

Biggest Battery Size possible and Connector type?
How big of a battery can be fit in the gun, and what is the out of the box connector type? Large or small?
