Airsoft GI G700A Upgraded Sniper Airsoft Rifle
[O13B00][16315]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The stock JG BAR-10 come with a small rail segment for optics, but the Airsoft GI crew made our own 16" CNC Aluminum long rail to accommodate ANY rail based optic. The designers at Airsoft GI took their time to create a MIL-STD-1913 rail that would mount perfectly to the gun to provide a stable foundation for optics. We designed and produced this rail right here in the United States! This gives us complete control over the quality, and we produce nothing but the best. Many lesser quality rail systems produced over seas are not made to military specifications, which means that some QD lever mounts can't fit; however the rail on the G700A was made to match perfectly with MILSPEC equipment. This rail is special, not only because it's engineered specifically for this gun, but also because it's much longer than most sniper rifle top rails. The added length adds an aggressive and unique look to the gun and also gives the shooter the ability to mount night vision optics behind their scope for night games! Many real steel manufacturers of guns are adding long rails to their guns for this exact purpose, it gives the shooter limitless operation, day or night.

So when I received this customs gun by airsoftgi it was shooting terribly and wouldn't hit a man size target at like 50feet away, I was very disappointed. I called airsoftgi and they recommended cleaning the barrel and checking the hop up they also offered to pay for its shipping back and take care of everything. One of the many reasons I choose airsoftgi above all others, perfect customer service. Well either the way the inner barrel to the gun was super super filthy. My guess would be the tech didn't clean it after construction and test fire. But once cleaned this gun and adjusted the hop up I started to hit pinpoint targets at about 150-200+ feet I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Because it is a powerful spring I would recommend .4s however I think maybe the gun needs a little more power so I will have to upgrade the spring. Everyone keeps saying its hard to pull back because of the spring... I'm a smaller dude 6'2" 165lbs and its super easy so idk about that. With my gun however I am assuming my tech was not very good at what he did because I do have problems still. The main issuses were that the bolt wouldn't lock back all the time and would sometimes ram fire. Once again I assume it was because the tech didn't do a good job installing the trigger sear set because when I opened it it was all rusted and like super grinded on with like a bit or something. The other issue was the magazines wouldn't stay locked in you had to hold them in or the BBS wouldn't feed well, I believe it was because of the hop up bucking so I ordered new ones but not sure if all the g700a's had this problem. But just a thing to consider when purchasing it, is it a good gun....yes very much so however as it is with every custom gun you need to tweak it to perform at its peak.
Pros:
-bolt sometimes will not lock back/ may lock back but will ram fire
-magazines won't stay in but new hopup bucking should fix that
-possible bad tech when having it constructed
-when arrived it had an extremely dirty inner barrel
Cons:
*once tweaked/cleaned/and loved on*(keep in mind general knowledge of airsoft guns will go a long way to helping yourself here)
-super accurate hitting/head sized targets at 150-200+ feet (made a lot of good kills with this
-got good range because of the spring
-solid plateform
All in all for the money you can't beat it, can it be improved? Yes but for the money you get a beast of a gun that just needs a little bit of loving
I bought the GI G700A from a different site but, for a fact I know more people use this site. The GI G700A works amazingly swell! I have had a war with my friends last winter and I got 13 kills (Hits) in two rounds of 21 people on each team! For me, the GI G700A was perfectly the right weight and size for me! My friend wans to buy it off of me for like $300! But I cant let go of it! I'm building up a collection of Sniper Rifles all because of this baby! so far I only got her but, I know more will come in my future!
Pros:
The GI G700A has an amazing sight, I put some ghillie wrap around it and it is incredibly hard to see me! All my friends wanted to try it and they were amazed by it.
Cons:
In my mind there were no cons. There might be for some other people depending on how your sniping skills are and Airsoft skills are. But for me, it's the perfect sniper rifle.
I bought this because of the upgrade. I will paint it and do a few more upgrades on the external.. Nice rifle! Even though the stock is polymer its great. Move quicker as a sniper its light. I use to be an actual sniper. What a difference from shooting a 1000yrds.+ with a real rifle to shooting 100yrd. with this. I put a scope and bipod on and within 2 hours I was hitting targets at 100yrds. or 300 feet. It was hitting within 3.5" in diameter.. I used .36gram bb's. The upgrade works.. I just hope it lasts we'll see Will take it to the battlefield in 2 weeks.. Thank you Airsoft GI...
Pros:
Love the rifle! Shoots perfect! Love the long rail can add night vision to it as well. Can hit targets at 100 yards a plus! Bipod fits snug! The pull is not hard for upgraded spring.. Would buy this again!
Cons:
There really is nothing that I've noticed yet.. It should last a while. Maybe change the spring after 1000 shots?
Everything is how I imagined it.

How well does the hop up work? How should I adjust the hop up when i do receive it?
I mistakenly bought the CYMA M187 as my first airsoft sniper. It was working good until i started noticing the BB's rolling out. No matter where i had adjusted the hop up, i was having the same problem. Just trying to find out more so that im not wasting money on a more expensive airsoft gun.

You adjust it as needed, with a gun running this high of a FPS you will need heavier ammo, i suggest at least .30 if not higher since your running over 500 FPS. With that said when you shoot the gun and see the shots dropping too quickly then you up the hop up, now if the shots are sailing upwards you should turn it down, you want it right in that middle area.

What is the maximum effective range of this gun?
What i mean by maximum effective range is how far can it shoot with no more than a 5 inch grouping, I would believe it would be around 250ft or more but i would like it if someone could test this.

As long as you're using heavy grade BB's .28g, it should be effective out to 200 ft. 3949 days ago 1
