The ASG M15A1 Carbine is an excellent airsoft gun for young and beginning airsoft players. Being that this airsoft gun is spring operated, this would be ideal for quick pick up games or semi only games. The externals are constructed completely out of polymer. With this airsoft gun, you will also receive two magazines, vertical grip and red dot. Overall, this is an excellent player package for the beginning and young airsoft player or for backyard shooting and games.

When I first thought about getting into airsoft, my kids wanted to get guns, too. I picked this one for them. It is light, short enough for kids (my oldest is 5),and the removable stock makes it even better for kids. I found it excellent for an introduction to firearms. The hop-up is not adjustable, so it is only good for about 30 feet. After that, BBs curve up pretty rapidly. So, for what I bought it for, it is good. But, be warned; the sight is not a red-dot. It is a piece of plastic with a cross-hair etched on the lens. Looks good on a toy, but cannot be used for sighting.
