A&K M4/M16 5000 rd. AEG High Capacity Motorized Box Magazine (Black)

New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
A&K has made a name for themselves by bringing more affordable airsoft guns and accessories to the market. Their original hand winding box magazine is one of the most affordable box magazines on the market, only a few dollars more than a high capacity magazine. They have taken that same basic design and made a motorized box magazine. The magazine is rechargeable, so there is no need to disassemble the magazine to put in batteries. The pressure pad connects to the box magazine like any pair of head phones to a CD player. This magazine gives players an affordable option for a motorized box magazine.

Got one, love it. Unfortunate, I got a 220v charger with it too, but that wasn't too big of a hassle. I took the charger down to Radio shack, and for less than $10, got two of the male plugs, as well as a 4.8v output transformer (from some no-name wireless phone they had). Now I have an adapter to use with my regular smart charger (4.8v - 9.6v) and a slow wall charger. I had one jam so far because of a BB in the gear/motor area, and once because it had over wound itself. Both cases where easily resolved. As far as Drum/Box Mags are concerned, the A&K is one of the better ones out there. I see far more of these on the fields than any other brand/design.
Pros:
- Rugged
- Reliable (once the bugs are worked out)
- Seats well (have used it in a KWA, G&P, G&G, TM, DBoys, and a few other brands)
- Easy to maintain/ repair
Cons:
- Dual chamber design, take a while to get use to. Remember to turn the knob to open the trap door and tilt your gun to refill the top chamber.
- Haven't found a suitable carrying pouch for it yet
- Note available in OD, Tan, or any other color (hint, hint)
- Charger issue, I've heard and read that a lot.

The Motorized A&K Box Magazine is an awesome addition to my playing experience when facing a large crowd of airsoftÂ’ers
I used this a few weeks ago at BattleHack in VA Beach. My buddy and I managed to hold of 40 or more enemy players for a significant amount of time to allow a evac of our friendly units.
Pros:
When it rains, it pours! This thing is unstoppable, at least for my gr15. 5000 rounds of pure tears of the enemy. In all seriousness, this thing works like a charm. It has three settings that have their usage. The sounds setting respond to the sound/vibration of your gun firing to keep the magazine feeding. The 2nd setting keeps it always running. For the story above, this worked out perfect as i needed a constant feed. The 3rd setting runs via push button. A&K provides you with a button that you can stick next to your trigger finger that allows you to control the feed.
Cons:
There are not a lot of negative thoughts about this magazine. But it is a $70 box magazine and it is made of cheap plastic. It is very loud, can over feed, and only has a true battery life of 2hrs. Now you could play with this thing all day, but actual usage time is about 2 hours.
Other reviewers have complained about the life of this box magazine. 6m-1yr. In my mind, if I get 6m of every other weekend usage, its well worth the $60-70.

Purchased this box for my KWA m4 and it didnt work at all, the motor pushed bbs into the chamber worhout stopping so instead of one bb i had 2-3 at one time which ended up jamming my gun.

Would this fit a Scar L?
I just bought the VFC FN Herstal SCAR-L MK16 STD AEG Airsoft Gun (2-tone/Black Lower Receiver) a few weeks ago and I am just curious if it would work with that gun. It says it fits m4/m16 style guns, jut don't know if it would work with mine. Thanks!
