I got this gun about 4-5 years ago for Christmas. It is still kicking after all this time though I would suggest opening it up and cleaning up the stock grease that comes in it because it is rather caked on and not the best.
Pros:
Nice weight to it
Mine came with a box mag and a midcap
durable gearbox
Quick change spring system
Cons:
Box mag requires a few simple mods to sit and feed correctly into the gun
Needs to opened and cleaned because of the grease that comes from the factory
Stock hop up is not that great
Out of the box, the performance is certainly skirmishable, but not really competitive with some high end guns.
It's a bit on the heavy side, and it has some quirks that need to be worked out, but all and all, it is a good gun with great potential!
Pros:
Much cheaper than other M249s
Full metal
Included bipod, box mag, scope mount
Solid gearbox
True support weapon
Heavy - Realistic
Decent performance out of the box
Cons:
Gearbox components are a bit iffy, but easily upgraded
Trigger switch too long, needs trimming
Hop-up may need a little sanding to function properly
Heavy - Cumbersome
Not really high ROF or FPS out of the box
I opened the well packed box and said holy s##t!!! , freaking COOL!!! I proceeded to read the manual........ alittle, then loaded it up with ammo, put batteries in it and took it out to my shed to test fire and ............WOW. works good, I'm impressed. Nice ROF. Unsure of FPS but seems pretty good to me anyway. Not sure about accuracy either cause i was only 15 feet away from my target inside my shed and I can't shoot bb guns in my back yard to check cause my neighbor in back of me kind of a cock......, anyway I'll find out this weekend and I'm pretty excited about it. Only had one issue with a broken O-ring that secured the hop up adjustment in place which also provided drag to prevent it from rotating. I had one that fit from a hydraulic elevator control valve rebuild kit, that saved my night. You can get O-rings at Ace hardware if need be. Well.........it looks cool, it sounds cool and it's Heavy as hell.........as it should be. Oh, buy the way did I say it looks cool? A showed it to an airsoft buddy of mine and when he saw it (no pun) I think he spunked in his pants. So far I'm quite happy, satisfied and excited about my purchase. $315.00 with free shipping I believe was a good trade for what I see as alot of gun.....all 14 + lbs of it. Hope this helps in your decision whether or not to buy one. Easy decision if you ask me!!!
Pros:
Looks cool
Sounds cool
Looks cool
Heavy
Easy to break down
Agreeable price
All good
Cons:
Other than the O-ring issue . Nothing
O-rings as I see it are consumables, so not really a con.
