AGM M16 VN AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[P09A01][09974 / MP033]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
This VN-style M16 is a great replica of the ones used by the US military in Vietnam. The body is constructed completely out of metal, giving it a very realistic weight, and it comes with a full stock that will accept most large battery packs. It also features AGM's new Gen. 3 full metal gearbox, meaning that it not only looks great, but it performs just as well. AGM AEGs are fully upgradeable and compatible with most after market external and internal parts. This airsoft gun does not include a VN-style magazine, but rather a more modern-style 300 round high capacity magazine, and is also compatible with other major brands of standard and high capacity after market magazines. This gun is a must buy for those looking for a good priced starter gun.

The AGM Full Metal M16-A1 was one of my first airsoft guns and it was probably the best starter gun you could have asked for the price is fairly low and it has a full metal body it comes with a high capacity magazine and is different than most of the weapons you see on the airsoft field
Pros:
high cap mag
long barrel
high FPS
full stock
Cons:
full stock
long rifle bad for younger players
not much rail realistate
Great starter gun or friend gun has a decent rate of fire and metal feel to it.
Pros:
Full metal
Lots of battery space
sling mount included
upper rail system
Cons:
no rails for fore grip or other attachments
cheap metal and stock scratches really easily
I would recommend a kwa gun instead this brand definitely isn't as good but decent for the price
I received this gun as a Christmas present almost 4 years ago and have put this gun through the ringer! I still use it with a keymod and several modifications and have never had a major problem with this gun! I love using it with a 9.6 battery and snappy trigger response. Upon taking apart the gearbox apart 3 years after playing with and abusing the gun I found the gears to be perfectly shimmed and the piston to have outstanding suppression. I added a new air nozzle and am now shooting 380 fps with .25g bbs. The gun could be slightly heavy for smaller people and could become a problem switching to a sidearm because of the length. I am 6 ft and have learned to deal with both of these issues. Overall, I would recommend this gun to anyone! It is a great gun to learn with and also a great gun to learn about gearboxes and modification! WONDERFUL PLASTIC SLINGER
Pros:
Compatible with every brand of magazine I have come across, High FPS, Precise and Accurate, Realistic feel, Gearbox is of great quality (in my case), Outstanding longevity
Cons:
Plastic Vietnam era hand guard is awkward (I replaced mine), After 4 years of climbing rough terrain, ridges, logs, and smacking the butt stock against trees, the stock is beginning to become loose. (I would expect this for as long as I have had the gun), Had one issue with the hop up but was fixed with a new bucking

Staff Answer:
The description does not say version 3. It says GEN 3. So it still has a version 2 gearbox but with updated internals. Gen meaning generation. 3892 days ago 0

Hand guard
Can the hand guard be easily switched? You know, if one was ever to get sick of the Vietnam feel.

Staff Answer:
Yes you can swap the handguard but you might need a new front plate if you were to put a new handguard or easily install a rail system. 3905 days ago 0
