It is fully metal and it does fit the ca m14. I have a ca and i bought this and they work perfectly together.

Product Information:
Metal (aluminum?) scope mount. Mounts onto the side of the receiver, and although you can't see it in the picture, there's a dovetail to fit into the stripper clip mount as well for two points of contact. It comes with a flathead side screw and an Allen key grub screw that is supposed to hold it tight into the stripper clip mount. I bought this for a G&G M14, so I wasn't really worried about compatibility (obviously, it works).
I don't know if people still think this, but this does not make your top rail monolithic if you're running an EBR stock. It sits about a quarter inch higher than the EBR's top rail.
Pros:
Solid as hell, makes the gun look pretty slick. I use an ACOG-style scope instead of one with scope rings, so this was much more convenient to mount.
Cons:
The grub screw that it comes with for the dovetail mount is too small in diameter to actually work with this rail. I don't really get that. The flathead on the side, along with the nubs on the side that fit into matching indentations on the receiver hold it on just fine, but it would have been nice if it...you know...came with the right hardware.
I'm also wondering if it's worth the money when compared to the CYMA mount. It certainly does the job well, but $60 is a lot.
