Emerson Armored Half Finger Gloves (Tan/M)
[09109 / AC-224M]
The Emerson Armored Half Finger Gloves are an excellent form of protection from both BBs and heat for the palms and backs of your hands. The knuckles and back of the hand feature a hard plastic cover, and there is a double layer of leather reinforcement on the palm. The cuff is adjustable for a secure fit on any size wrist. These are the perfect option for hand protection for airsoft.

First things first, these are good gloves. Not great, but good. They're only $6, and you get well more than what you pay for. They are perfectly comfortable about 98% of the time, and they do exactly what fingerless gloves are supposed to do. They protect your hands from BBs, but they don't cause any problems with dexterity or the sensitivity of your fingertips when you need fine motor control to pick up individual BBs or work with small mechanical pieces. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that you need to get the right size for your hands. You want these gloves to fit your hands snugly, but not too tight. I have very large hands, and I usually buy large size gloves. However, these gloves fit somewhat loosely. I bought a pair of these in the large size at the field I play at, and those were too big for my hands. When I ordered these mediums from ASGI, they fit perfectly. I have large hands, but they are very skinny and bony, so the mediums were the best size to fit me. If your hands are skinny or bony at all, buy a size down from what you would expect. Only buy the size you would normally expect if you have thicker, meatier hands (if you are, for example, a mountain climber, or a career bass guitarist).
All in all, 4/5. These are good gloves, and I would recommend them to anybody looking for fingerless gloves to play airsoft in.
Pros:
Pros:
-Easy to adjust (tighten/loosen)
-fit well, provided you choose the right size.
-comfortable
-rubberized plastic protects very well against BB strikes and features of the terrain
-breathable material - does not cause your hands to get too hot and sweaty in the heat.
Cons:
Cons:
-rubberized plastic "armor" sometimes catches on pockets when reaching into pants pockets, jacket pockets, or gear pouches, making it difficult to reach your hand into said pocket. This is easily fixed however, by reaching into the pocket by putting your hand in at the proper angle.
-the wire frame that holds up the rubberized plastic sometimes pushes into your hand, requiring you to adjust it a bit before it becomes comfortable to wear again.
