The full stock of the MK23 is where the battery is held and allows the operator to easily wield the AEG. A ergonomic pistol grip and hand guard give the user a very comfortable hold on the MK23 while firing and allow the user to keep the gun deployed for extended periods of time. To keep the gun in the fight under intense fire, a 1200 auto winding box magazine is included with the MK23 and unlike other SAW type weapons, attaches to the gun in a very sturdy manner. G&P also produces some great internals and this AEG features a 8mm gearbox with extremely high quality steel gears that are shimmed to perfection and is skirmish ready right out of the box. The MK23 fires at around 16 rounds per second on a 9.6 volt battery with a velocity of 380 fps, making the MK23 perfect for most roles. Amazing! I have had one for a year(great to see a US supplier!) Mine shoots incredible. 440mm inner that that out shoots my AKs (455mm tightbore!) The rate of fire is crazy. With a 11.1v 2200 lipo I chrono'd 39.5 bbs a second! Mine was shooting in the 380fps range. The feed system is sound activated and feed from the top and runs off a 9volt. As this is a period gun, no rails forward grips or the like.
My team loves when I take this out. With the lipo it is like having a mini gun! Down side, G&Ps are lipo ready. The sheer size of the 11.1v2200 melted my trigger connections. I recommend a mosfet (i have one now and no issues)

I grew up reading about the Vietnam era and as a result, it has become my favorite scenario for games. When I was a teenager, I loved to read about MAC-V and MAC-S. When I recently heard we were having a Vietnam scenario game coming up, I decided to order this period piece. I, as many, have been a Stoner fan since my childhood, so I was excited to see the MK-23 offered.
I was not disappointed, as this piece is fantastic. It is very well done. Fps was good out of the box, but the range it has is what really impressed me. It ranges easily with most stock sniper rifles. I also like the semi-auto feature. The box magazine connects easily and I like using a 9v to power it. It fed flawlessly.
