UK Arms L85A2 Rifle Spring Airsoft Rifle (Black/OD Green)
[Q10B00][08592 / P1185]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Description:
The UK Arms L85A2 Spring Rifle is constructed from plastic that keeps the weight down but is not as durable as its high end metal counter part. The UK Arms L85A2 Spring Rifle is operated by pulling the charging handle which cocks the spring for a single shot. The spring system used in this gun allows it to be very affordable, however it is not skirmishable.. This Spring rifle does have similar features to that of its high quality counter part such as the hand guard, pistol grip, stock, and charging handle however despite the realistic features, the UK Arms L85A2 Spring Rifle leaves much to be desired in the authenticity department.
Although the UK Arms L85A2 Spring Rifle may be adequate for a display piece or prop, there are much better options for skirmishable airsoft guns that are still affordable. A spring shotgun such as the AGM Full Stock Spring Shotgun Airsoft Gun which comes in at only $29.99 features a much more realistic action as well as a much higher build quality. For only $55 more you can purchase a very reliable and skirmishable shotgun such as the Fire Power Multi-Shot Spring Shotgun
which features a very durable polymer body as well as 3 shot burst to better replicate a shotgun. Although, if you are set on purchasing a L85 type airsoft gun you should save up a purchase G&G Full Metal L85 A2 Carbine Airsoft Gun which is one of the highest quality L85 replicas you can buy. You can check the G&G L85 out here, G&G Full Metal L85 A2 Carbine Airsoft Gun
As previously stated, this gun is not field ready do to its low performance. Although due to its realistic look and features, this gun is a great choice for use in film productions or as a great display piece. Please do not expect to be able to compete with high quality airsoft guns while using this low cost airsoft gun. This gun is not serviceable and does not come with a warranty of any kind.

Was definitely surprised when this came and it was so huge. This gun is very large compared to some rifles and shotguns, and is a heavier, stiffer plastic make. The paint on it feels less realistic than an actual model, but that's extremely negligible. It came with interchangeable sights for both irons and a scope, but the scope is non-magnifying and uses the front portion of the irons anyways, kinda weird. The spring on the magazine is extremely resistant and is hard to lower all the way due to both its shallow tab and the arc of the magazine. Its flashlight had to be screwed onto the rail, which is not very glamorous, and I'm not sure how good it even is... but it's also cross compatible with some other arms and it fits snugly. The large size coupled with its bullpup design probably means the rifle is absurdly accurate, there's no reason it wouldn't be honestly.
Pros:
-Despite its large size, it fits underarm very comfortably, feels very natural.
-Mechanics all indicate this gun is extremely accurate, even if the sights are a bit weird at first.
-High capacity magazine, in theory.
-Comes with some interchangeable bits, kinda fun.
-Seems very durable based on its hardened plastic design.
-Magazine fits well and unloads easily. Saw someone complain that the mag was hard to unload, but if you use your left hand and use the thumb-press properly, it comes very natural and easily, yet is snug when in place.
Cons:
-Bolt on the right hand side is a bit odd, and is probably not friendly to left-handed shooters.
-Sights are a bit weird, and may not come too natural at first.
-Large. This is a double-edged sword but it makes storage and transportation a bit harder, I'm glad I bought a 71 inch rifle bag, the overkill of its size fits this with ease.
-Magazine is hard to use due to its defiant spring, but has a well on the inside that holds a lot and can be used to bypass the main spring, which compensates a fair amount.
its a cool gun to have not really a feild weapon mostly just to mess around and shoot tun cans
Pros:
it comes with a red dot which is cool the flashlight is a cool onus as well
Cons:
the red dot does kinda suck its not really good or acurate
the flashlight is mostly a toy
Not the best airsoft rifle out there but due to the body design it's great for practice and display for any type of collector. The spring recoil works great but pulling the retraction handle can be a bit of a challenge. The red dot scope works great but the tactical flashlight never came with a working battery. Comes with one working magazine but no tactical sling came with it thus forcing me to find one at an additional price. I believe that the price should be lowered under $20 for this weapon only being a spring powered airsoft rifle.
Pros:
I do like that I can easily detach the red dot sight scope to a scope of my liking, same goes for the tactical flashlight. The weapon body has an excellent feel as if one were to train with the real weapon. The firing mechanism works just fine despite it being spring powered.
Cons:
Should come with at least two or more extra magazines since they are a bit tough to find around the internet. Should also also come with a tactical sling despite the weapon only being spring in order for the buyer to save money. The price should be lowered under $20.00 due to the weapon design and functionality, not worth over $30 especially for a spring powered airsoft weapon. I understand the shipping/handling costs even though this weapon doesn't weigh as much, barely a couple pounds so there shouldn't be an overcharge. There was however a working battery for the red dot sight but also as a courtesy there should be a battery for the tactical flashlight.
