The A&K Full Metal Magpul Masada Airsoft Gun ( Licensed / Black ) is a unique and rare AEG. Airsoft GI is proud be one of the lucky retailers to sell this gun. The A&K Masada is officially licensed by Magpul and carries the Magpul holographic symbol. The upper receiver is constructed of metal and the lower receiver of plastic. The stock extends and folds to the side. The fire selector, magazine release, and bolt release are ambidextrous. The charging handle can be moved to either the left or right side of the gun, and it automatically locks back when pulled. The hand guard is plastic and houses the battery. The barrel is very quickly changeable, with the turn of a lever it can be detached then securely reattached. A&K was gracious enough to provide an aggressive compensator to give the gun a menacing look. Also included is a 300 round high capacity Magpul P-mag. This is an excellent gun for collectors and anyone else looking for an alternative to the MK16.

I have had this gun for about 3 weeks now, and have used it in 3 games, and all i have to say is wow. this is an amazing looking and performing rifle, right out of the box. It shoots around 405fps stock with .2s, and has a range of 200+ feet. Although a lot of people complain about the motor, i have no problem with the rps. With a 9.6 battery the rps is pretty decent, shooting around 11 rps with the stock motor, which is all i really need. This weapon is also very vercitile, with a 6 position folding stock which is just freaking awesome haha. It is also very easy to clean the barrel, since it disassembles, just like the real one. The magazine feeds great, and it accepts regular m4 mags. The magpul sticker is a nice touch. however i don't like how they don't have the full trade marks like the other masada on the market, but what are you gonna do. The folding front sight is also really nice, i hated how on m4s you'd always have the front sight in your way, with the masada, its no problem. It also comes with a detachable rear sight which is a nice alternative to a red dot.
Another thing i really like is the bolt catch. Whenever you pull that thing back and let go it gives you a very satisfying feel. Pulling back the bolt also reveals the clear hop up unit, which has a sliding mechanism instead of the traditional wheel, which works fine. This gun also has a full metal (aluminum) upper reciever, and outer barrel, and a thick, plastic lower reciever, which makes the gun very sturdy. The bolts holding them together are very tight also, ensuring that you won't lose any on the field. Oh, and just to clarify, the gun CAN fit a 9.6v mini in the front hand guard, and i admit, it is a little tricky at first, but u just have to bend the wires right and it'll fit.
Unfortunateley, my masada didn't come with the aggressive compensator that was offered, but thats not a big deal really, since there are thousands of better after market suppressors and barrel extensions that i can get.
Final thoughts
Basically, if you are looking for a gun that has decent stock performance, and a gun that stands out from the other m4s on the field, this is your gun. however, if you're looking for a really good, top of the line bang for your buck airsoft gun, throw in an extra 10 bux and get the kwa 2gx m4. However, i am very pleased with my buy, and can't wait to pimp this thing out with accessories.
Pros:
-accepts 9.6 mini batteries
-Handles great on the field
-Good fps stock
-Good rps
-great features such as realistic bolt function, and the sweet folding 6 position stock.
-Looks like a beast
-Intimidating
-designed similar to the real one.
-nice feel
-light, about 7 pounds
-Ambidextrious mag release, bolt catch and stock adjustments.
-QD sling mounts
Cons:
-didn't come with the compensator
-the barrel was really dirty and i had to clean it thuroughly.
-had some seam lines, but i just filed those down
-no trades other than the sticker
I've had this gun for two/three months now. I have to say, you can REALLY feel the quality of the gun's body and barrel.
Construction: Awesomesauce!
The lower receiver, hand-guard, and stock are all made of a scratch resistant plastic/polymer that has a texture that makes it really easy and comfortable to hold. There were very slight seams in the plastic that I shaved off with a knife. The stock could be sturdier, but it gets the job done. If you grab the stock when it's contracted, it will extend from the weight of the gun.
The upper receiver is a sturdy aluminum that is painted black. It is just a durable paint and not a real-steel gun coating, so solvents like rubbing alcohol will alter the finish and bleed off some paint. Otherwise, it's probably the best metal body you can get at this price.
It comes with a P-Mag like in the picture, although it's really not the best magazine ever. It's just a cool-looking plastic magazine and it holds a bit less than other high-caps. The nice thing is that it looks so f-ing hardcore and the little window in the side gives you a heads up on your ammo. It wobbles a tiny bit in the well (unlike my G&G steel mag, so no the mag-well is not to blame).
The outer barrel is solid steel, I feel like it belongs to a real gun. The outer barrel has a quick-change feature that works like the real thing, but I haven't tried it yet. Supposedly you could change the front end of your gun in a snap. The flash hider is a bright orange like the picture. I haven't tried taking it off at all, but it would probably be simpler because of the steel, one-piece barrel.
Performance: Blegh...
The gearbox and inner barrel leave A LOT to be desired. I used a 10.8v and the gears stripped by the end of the day XP. The fps was nice and high, allowing me to use 0.25's, but the inner barrel didn't seem to be a tight enough bore to make the bb's keep a straight path. The hop up, completely turned up, was just enough hop for my 0.25's.
Bottom-line:
If you're a sharp-shooter like me, you'll want to upgrade this gun's barrel and hop-up. If you plan on using a high-voltage battery, you definitely want to upgrade the gears. But seriously, this is a BEAUTIFUL gun and if you get it you will be the most bad*ss member of your team, guaranteed.
Pros:
Solid, generally awesome construction
Absolutely amazing looking, feeling gun
It's a MASADA, what more could you want?
Cons:
Gearbox and barrel are as stock as it gets.
The rear sight is a POS, if you're an iron-sights kinda guy, then buy a separate one with your order.
