The CA M15A1 Carbine is modeled after the famous XM177. The XM177 is a shortened version of the M16A1 assault rfile. It was one of the first commando length M16s and was used primarily by special operations personnel in the vietnam war. The CA M15A1 Carbine is an accurate representation of this famous assault rifle. It features a M16A1 style metal body that has a fixed carry handle and lacks the shell deflector of the M16A2. The XM177 flash hider and the short VN hi-cap magazine give this airsoft gun a unique look. Also, it is constructed from improved materials. The Hand Guard, Pistol Grip, and Retractable Stock are now Nylon & Glass Fiber. The gun includes steel gears, a metal Hop-up Chamber, and a new High Speed / High Torque Motor. This was my second airsoft rifle and it was/is way better then my first one. I am happy with the construction of it. I am happy with the functioning of it. I like the looks and feel of it. It is rugged enough and is fun to shoot. I would recommend it if you can find one available. Be sure to get a few batteries for it. The normal ones on the market wont work. Even the ones designed for it are hard to fit in the forearm. i have has this rifle for over 3 years and it still performs very well.

Classic Army Armalite M15 XM177 AEG- Full Metal: I called Airsoft GI last week when suddenly this gun came back in stock- I wanted to make sure they really had them in stock (it has been out of stock forever...) The customer service rep could not have been more helpful- checked stock, verified the gun was in stock, and placed my order- using the 20% off coupon and 3 days shipping. It came right on time. I have not had it chrono'd yet- but it shoots fairly hard, very flat and straight with no adjustments at all. Uses all my mags (Vietnam style midcaps, zip type M4 mags, high caps, even my KWA magpul type midcaps. The finish is fantastic- trades, colors, quality of composite handguard and grip. It is very light for a full metal gun- must be an aluminum receiver- this is fine with me- makes long, hot skirmishes much more bearable. I skirmished with it yesterday. Did alot of stealth combat- stalking, ambushing, etc- and the size and weight made the gun a dream in the field. It's inner barrel is full M4 length- so you still have good range in the field also. I am very pleased with the gun, and with Airsoft GI (this is about the 5th or 6th gun our family has bought from them, with a ton of other accessories). They ship quickly!
