I expected to get around 550 fps with this spring. Added this with the Airsoft GI piston, spring guide and heavy duty sears. I the fps jumped to 596 fps making the gun unusable. It takes a serious pull to get the gun cocked. I would check to make sure you would be able to use the gun before I bought this spring.
Pros:
High fps
consistent fps
Cons:
too strong for most fields
i've been using this spring sence GI put it out a few years ago, it's a great spring for the price. i ran all GI upgrade parts (except a GI 650mm 6.01 barrel) in my socom gear r700 before switching to the bar 10. i have gotten about 550 ish out of but have noticed that it doesnt last as long as i would like. i also havent had the pull back or noise problem the other reviewers have had. the GI piston has a pad and i added another onto the cylinder head, it keeps it to a whisper. last with the larger spring and the 45 degree sear set the push forward becomes the hard part. the cylinder pushes up on the body that makes it tough. no biggy tho. good spring over all
Pros:
decent fps
cheap
goes well with the other gi parts
not to hard to pull back
Cons:
hard to push forward
doesn't last that long
I ordered this spring for my JG Bar 10 upgrade platform and it has exceeded my expectations as far as quality, functionality, and dexterity. This spring is among one of the most important steps to making your rifle a beast in the field. I have been using the spring for a couple months now and my opinion on it grows increasingly positive the more I use it. It fits nicely with my upgraded piston and spring guide. MUST PURCHASE.
Pros:
~Increases FPS to upwards of 500 consistently.
~Upgraded piston will hold the spring snugly in place.
~Unbeatable price is a huge plus when looking for least total money spent on upgrades.
~Consistent power readings (little to no outliers.)
~Huge performance boost.
~Quality construction.
~Absolutely no modification required out of the box.
Cons:
~Doesn't work with stock spring guide so buy a metal guide unit along with the spring if you don't have one already.

Staff Answer:
No, it will not. However, this upgrade kit may be able to increase your FPS by compression/spring:

UTG MK96 Upgrade Kit 3571 days ago 0
