Once again the Airsoft GI brand comes through like a winner (see my review for the Airsoft GI VSR 10 precision inner barrel). This excellent steel piece holds up the load of the Laylax SP150 I bought with it. I had to do some slight grinding to the round near the pivot point to get it sit in the trigger sear properly but no biggie.
I strongly recommend this piston sear for anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to the name brand sears without sacrificing tinsel strength and quality. From my experience so far, you definitely need this if you upgrade your stock piston to an aluminum one; even if you are using the stock spring.
Pros:
-Excellent hard steel
-Holds up the load of my SP150 spring
-Airsoft GI brand (as of now I have purchased 2 Airsoft GI brand products and both have been excellent in build quality and performance)
Cons:
-Very minor tolerance issue with the overall size, almost not worth mentioning as a con.
I was happy that airsoft gi offered an upgrade suite for the jg bar 10, in fact it was the main contributing factor in purchasing that rifle in place of the ares awp model. I have found this trigger sear lacking. I think at my level of technical inclination, this process offered too much a challenge. the upgrade including the sear works about 75% of the time, the other quarter is hamstrung with the sear locking and causing the gun to slam fire, which I find unnacceptable because to fix the problem requires a complete break down of the trigger firing mechanism. It works better after heavy lubrication
All in all, I would suggest that those interested in upgrading their remington m700 clone get the zero trigger which will fix the trigger sear issue, it's some bucks, but if you upgrade the way that most suggest, it will cost you bucks anyway.
Pros:
inexpensive, it was a house brand (which I always prefer)
Cons:
may cause slam firing which is annoying
Even though it is discontinued, I still think a review is in order. My friend bought this, and being the technician of our group, I had to install it along with other upgrades. It seems to work well enough, but as soon as I held it in my hand the little knob fell off of it. Great... It was already falling apart without even being used yet. It took over 2 hours to install because of the spring. But, so far his sniper fires fine and has had very few issues on an m150 spring. Though it does look to be getting quite a bit of wear on it after 1000 rounds.
Pros:
-Works with the m150 spring
-Fit decently into the trigger sear
Cons:
-Already noticible wear after 1000 shots
-knob fell off immediately
-Pain to install because of the spring
