The CYMA CM048 Full Metal/Wood AKM is another great example of CYMA's range of AK style airsoft guns. The CM048M features a wood handguard and fixed stock. The body is sturdily constructed with metal parts including the receiver, receiver cover, barrel assembly, selector lever, trigger assembly, and the magazine catch. The AK has the advantage of a large stock that can hold a large battery pack and a high capacity magazine that can hold up to 600 rounds. The AKM's additional features include sling attachment points, adjustable rear sight, and a AK accessory rail that the user can mount ak style accessories.

This gun is great!! It shoots hard with .25 gram bbs, and out-ranges many other guns I own, including D-boys similar priced AKs. I love to hip fire with this gun and white bbs, although with 20-25 dollars an AK-side rail scope mount can be attached to allow for a red dot or scope. Solid internals are better than D-Boys AKs and the externals look great (although you must tighten stock every once in a while) As long as you don't mess with the gearbox, the ancient Chinese manufacturing tech should work for a long time, however, a skilled technician could turn this into a DMR or downgrade the spring for a longer-lasting CQB gun.
Pros:
- solid internals
- quality externals
- high fps (375+ w/ .25g bbs)
- great accuracy
- shoots hard and accurate
- long lasting, powerful war machine.
Cons:
- too hot for cqb, probably
- don't touch the gearbox unless an expert
- wobbly stock you must tighten
- doesn't automatically come with ris (it's an AK)
- people ask you why the tip is cut off (a real-steel balance functionality)
I'll start by saying the gun is GORGEOUS. I can't imagine anything feeling and looking better than this AKM does. This is my first "big" purchase of an air soft gun. I've always wanted to play around with friends in a recreational setting and not be out-gunned by their weapons of similar price. This new AK certainly holds its own. Although, I have had so many issues with it just randomly having break downs on me. The gun will just STOP SHOOTING seemingly out of random and I have been unable to figure out why.
Pros:
It looks amazing A+++
It's satisfying to just hold
Weight (Pro or con)
Nice RPM by my standards
It's accuracy is enough, it's not 100% but it isn't frustratingly bad
Cons:
Extremely tight battery compartment in the stock
Kind of rattles in a few places
Fire selector kind of scratches off the paint but I'm not concerned about a little wear-and-tear
I bought mine a little over a year ago, and I've yet to move onto another gun. I honestly can't say too much about stock performance, as the first thing I did when I bought it was install a flat hop. Even with that alone, I scored more hits on other players than I had ever before. This thing is tough as bricks, and same goes for internals. When I opened it up, the shimming and greasing wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. This gun is an excellent upgrade platform, and that is exactly what I've used mine for. Unfortunately, some parts are pot metal, and I've have to secure the stock to the trunnion with an extended screw because the threads stripped. Other than that, it's a wonderful gun for beginners and budgeters alike.
Pros:
-Sturdy steel body
-cheap for its quality
-relatively easy to disassemble
-real wood
-good stock performance
-upgrade friendly
Cons:
-pot metal here and there
-heavy, about 7.5lbs,(might be a pro)
-higher fps may be illegal on some fields
-wood looks crappy. (Some wood stain and a sealer will fix that)
-grip is creaky (Some paper inside will reduce it)
-releasing the bolt can screw up your hop up adjustment if you aren't careful

Staff Answer:
Yes, as long as both the MOSFET and airsoft gun use compatible connectors. In addition, there may not be enough space for a MOSFET under the dust cover. 3569 days ago 0
