The AIMS is an excellent airsoft reproduction of the AK-47 manufactured by G&G. G&G has many standard features on their guns that would be considered upgrades from other companies. For example the receiver, receiver cover, and barrel assembly are full metal. The hand guard is real wood, has an integrated vertical grip, and has a very nice finish to it. For added authenticity the AKMS field strips like the real article; G&G even went so far as to include a replica bolt carrier. Like many other AKs the AKMS includes a 600 round high capacity magazine. The hi-cap magazine and the ability to take a very long stick battery in the receiver will give you an incredible advantage in any skirmish.

G&G Romanian AIMS/AKM. As far as realism goes this AEG is up there. Aside from having an out of spec (too fat) pistol grip, and a charging handle that DOES NOT charge all the way back this weapon could pass for the real steel. Great ROF with a 9.6 battery too. If you like bare bones military rifles, this one is for you.

This gun is one of the more Realistic AK's out there (VERY little external plastic parts) And features which gives it the Genuine AK feel. My only problems are that the forerip gets in the way (I ended up making a new bottom grip in my Protech class. Got a 90 for it. 2 birds, one stone, eh? :D ). I'm also not a fan of the stock. I find its too wiggly. I'm quite the nerd so whenever I reload during the game, I cock the charging handle for dramatic effect. It has a nice metal sound, but only cocks halfway! _:(
Pros:

-Battery is VERY easily removed (Its in the little maintenance cover in front of the stock)
Cons:
-Bottom foregrip is uncomfortable and makes the magazine removal a challenge
-Wiggly stock
-Ugly color for the pistol grip (Black or matching wood color would look better. Even OD green!)
-Charging handle only cocks halfway back (Gives it a less realistic feel)
