Based on the latest designs of the Kalashnikov series of assault rifles, the G&G RK-103 EVO is in many ways like ordering a pre-upgraded rifle.
CNC-machined construction and rigorous testing make the RK103 EVO AEG Blowback a sold product for novices and veterans. The rifle is fully made of metal save for the furniture. The traditional wooden stock, grip and handguard have been replaced with polymer ones that are more durable without adding weight. Each component features RIS rails on all sides for the attachment of accessories. Adjustable rear and front sights will help get your shots on the right path. And unlike other airsoft AK platform rifles, the RK-103 EVO has a realistic take-down procedure, so even disassembling the gun for maintenance or storage goes like it would with the real thing. As with other G&G AKs, the RK103 EVO includes a 600-round high capacity magazine. This plus the ability to take a large battery in the full stock will give you an incredible advantage in any skirmish. The RK-103 EVO features a 407mm inner barrel and a metal hop-up chamber, and clocks in at 400 FPS for muzzle velocity, allowing for superb accuracy at range and plenty of power to deliver the BB there quickly. That power comes from a Version 3 full metal gearbox and high-torque motor which are both enhanced by Top Tech. Product Information:
This AK is of over all good quality. I cannot vouch for the out of box fps, however I can tell you the things I have noticed. The construction is very solid, and with that, has a comfortable weight to it. Light enough to be able to pick up and hold in front of you with one arm, but not to the point where it seems flimsy. Only exception to this is the dust cover which comes rather loose and wiggles in its place. However, this is easily fixed by applying a centimeter or so of tape to one of the interior sides of the cover. My rifle came with the hop-up slightly active even in the complete off position. It just happened that it was just enough to warrant a flat trajectory as if the hop-up had been configured, just something to be aware of. Finally, the flash hider does seem to have threads underneath it, but it is glued firmly in place. The blowback provides a light feeling of recoil and the charging handle racks back about 1~2 inches, occasionally producing an audible click as it returns forward. The gun out of the box is as accurate as advertised. Shooting how you'd expect it to up to 120 feet. Lastly, the full stock attached to the rifle provides plenty of space, fitting a 1600 mAh 9.6v NiMh stick battery snuggly, so I don't anticipate any problems fitting any other modern battery as well. It can be noted as well that the battery compartment is closed via flat head screws, making a "quick" battery swap not necessarily possible. Over all, good quality rifle. Not perfect, but certainly not bad.
