The ear arches are cut especially high to leave room for communication devices and hearing protection. The NVG mount is secured with three screws.

I bought this because it went on sale for $30 and originally $80 BUT it looks like its used so I don't know if that's the reason for the major price drop. Well since its discontinued here there are probably other websites you can buy it from. This helmet is pretty cool. It weighed more than I expected but not too much. People complain about how hard it was to adjust the chin straps but I found it easy to adjust. Yes the chin strap will look like how the picture looks, awkwardly to the left on your chin. Material is polymer and is pretty hard. Rail on the sides to attach different lights, camera, etc., NVG mount above the forehead, and velcro on the side, top, and back of the helmet to place patches. It included a picantinny rail mount as well as a light mount. A great hemlet for a loadout or for just head protection.

Airsoft GI put this sale at just the right time for me. Not sure why its discontinued now because its a great helmet.
It is a good weight, i wouldn't change it. The rails and NVG mount are solid and not going anywhere.
my only issue is the chin strap is a little short on the right side. no matter how i adjust the straps the chin strap is always a little on the right side of my chin.
