ICS M1 Garand AEG Airsoft Rifle (Wood)
[R04C00][12249 / ICS-202]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Since ICS founder and CEO Mr. Chu entered the airsoft replica market in 1995, ICS was the first AEG company specialized in designing and manufacturing in Taiwan and was the 3rd of its kind worldwide. As a professional AEG brand, "High innovation, High efficiency, and High quality" is the principle of their enterprise, and ICS insists in accepting no defective part from the factories, making no mistake on the production line, and releasing no defective product to the market.
The M1 Garand is the legendary rifle that was issued to the American G.I. in World War 2. Chambered in .30-06 (pronounced as 30 aught 6), it was the only semi automatic rifle mass produced in World War 2. The M1 Garand was designed by Engineer John Cantius Garand, who at the time in 1928 was working for Springfield Armory. It was eventually adopted by the U.S. Army as their main battle rifle in 1936, and 5 years later, hundreds of thousands of American soldiers were going into battle with an M1 slung over their shoulders. ICS has done an excellent job in replicating the real M1 Garand. Externally, every stock is a one piece design made out of real wood with a unique wood grain. The functional charging handle and bolt catch, CNC Machining, and Unique Serial Number give the gun a much more realistic look and feel. Internally, the gun features 8MM Steel Bushings, Turbo 3000 Motor, Upgraded Steel Gear Set, Low Resistance Wires, and Mosfet. This airsoft gun is reinforced to last with some serious gameplay.Specifications:

An airsoft M1 Garand that is easily skirmishable against AEGs using 400rd hicaps. I've wanted one for a long time, but have held off on a gas one because of limited ammo and that I wanted to play with it at an average open play. ICS did a great job on this Garand replica. The forty round mags are a good compromise between replicating the real steel gun and making it skirmishable.
Overall, I love this gun. Had a couple problems out of the box (listed in the "cons" along with the fixes for the problems), but I'd buy this gun again in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd love to pick up a second one to set up at under 350fps for CQB.
Pros:
Real wood and metal
Nice and heavy, feels very sturdy
It's a M1 Garand
Nice accuracy out of the box
Shoots about 390fps with .20s
Mosfet
Cons:
Had a double feeding problem out of the box which seems to be fairly common, fixed it by putting in a harder hopup bucking.
Magazines are a very tight fit, you have to pry them out. Take a dremel or file and take out a little of the wood inside of the magwell to fix this. Now mine drop free.
Mags are hard to find and are a bit spendy for plastic mags that only hold 40 rounds.
one of the best guns i've ever had the pleasure of owning........overall GREAT GUN!!!
Pros:
shoots hard.....great range......not very heavy........great for the money!!!
Cons:
absolutely none that i can think of !!!!!!!!!!
got it as a gift, and I love it, lots of fun! it is real wood and it highly realistic to the real thing, except for the shooting part, this is an AEG
Pros:
real wood
shoots far
fun to shoot
accurate
brings all the chairsofters to my yard
Cons:
kind of heavy
people call me crazy for using this in CQB

Upgradable?
I have read somewhere that you can send your gun back in and they will upgrade it for you, but if I did so, how much FPS would this gun be able to produce fully upgraded? I don't really know if upgrade is the right word for this, what I am trying to get to is the upgraded gearbox and hop-up, etc.

Airsoft GI offers a $45 flat rate upgrade service which covers labor and basic tuning on an airsoft gun. Installation of additional components being purchased from Airsoft GI will incur an extra charge unless the parts are supplied by the customer.

FPS may vary, as it depends on what components are available for the airsoft gun and the compression ratio that is achievable. 3559 days ago 0

Customize?
Is there anything that we can add to it, like silencers or sights, maybe even a rail? If so, where can we find it.

The ONLY mods you should ever consider are a cheek rest, bayonet, or old school scope (not mounted on a rail)

Is this supposed to happen?
When I fire the rifle, if I don't squeeze the trigger all the way back it goes full auto. Is that happen to all of this model, and will it ruin the airsoft gun I use it?

Staff Answer:
That is normal. It does that on the other models we have here as well. It should not ruin the gun. 3847 days ago 0

Whats wrong with it?
I was airsofting one day when it started raining. I had the rifle on my shoulder walking back with the barrell pointed toward the sky. All of a sudden, the weapon started shooting full auto (semi only gun) and then stopped. Now it wont do anything, even with a new higher voltage battery. I was wondering if you guys at GI could diagnose the issue. Thanks
