Echo 1 Platinum Series M16 AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[O11A00][11275 / ECHO AEG M16 PLT (JP-PEBM16)]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Since its inception the Echo1USA brand has strived to provide clients with uncompromising quality of products and customer service. As avid Airsoft players themselves, they are able to understand the needs of the sport and the frustration with inferior products. Echo 1's commitment to yielding the finest most affordable Airsoft Guns and Accessories on the market today is steadfast, and remains the foundation of they're continued success.
The Echo 1 Full Metal Platinum Series M16 AEG Airsoft Gun is an unbelievable AEG. Echo 1 has collaborated with VFC to build a remarkable gun, and if you didn't know before picking up the gun that it was an Echo 1, then you wouldn't believe it. This gun features an aluminum barrel, aluminum metal body, full stock, and thin pistol grip to emulate a real gun. Internally, there is a one piece hop up, stainless steel cylinder, polycarb piston with the second to last tooth missing, aluminum ported piston head, metal spring guide with bearings, and a solid set of self-shimming gears. The attention to detail is amazing, way beyond anything Echo 1 has ever produced. This is all on top of their 30 days manufacturers warranty. Echo 1 is still providing the same great customer service that they revolutionized the market with years ago, and the quality of their products keeps going up, while still keeping competitive pricing. Amazing.

The gun plays really well stock. Very accurate at long range. The fire selector gets stuff on safety for some reason. The fps was very low and inconsistent.
Pros:
Accurate
Nice looking
Fun to play with
Lots of battery room
Cons:
Bad fps (mine shot 344 two times in a row then shot 360)
Mid game the gun stopped shooting and just made a clicking sound
The battery rattles around in the stock
I feel like all these cons could just be my gun because I took it to an airsoft shop closer to my house and they did some basic work on the hand guard and rail. But who knows, maybe it is most of these guns?
Well seeing as this Echo1 gun was OEM'd (MADE BY) VFC I think this gun is utterly amazing, don't listen to that other review. I doubt he knows what he's talking about to be honest. This gun shoots solid, has EXCELLENT externals (I'd compare to G&P) The internals are meh, could be worse. The poly carbonate piston has 1 metal tooth. I replaced with a SHS 14 tooth blue piston. The tappet, is polycarb as well. Also replaced with SHS Nylon fiber one. The VFC "self shimming gears" are OK, I shimmed them and ran them that way for a while, good rate of fire, but then replaced with SHS 16:1 gears for higher ROF. The range on this gun stock was good, but if you want REALLY GOOD RANGE replace the barrel with a 6.02mm tight bore, and prowin hopup chamber, and Lonex 70 degree bucking. I replaced the cylinder with 3//4 cylinder and the spring I upgraded from a M110 to an M130. As well as SHS cylinder head and air nozzle.
Pros:
Excellent Externals! The Polymer is actually polymer, not cheap ABS plastic! The metal is high quality. VERY SOLID
Internals are good enough to run if you wanted to and you would not have problems Good rate of fire with good FPS right out of the box! I got about 22-25 rounds per second with an 11.1v 20-30C Lipo stock
you can make it better with full SHS gearbox overhaul and a Lonex A2 ie the way mine is I have 40-42 rounds per second @ 410 FPS :)
Threaded muzzle for aftermarket flash hider/mock suppressor
Enough space for a 3000mah 11.1v Lipo in the stock with room to spare
Delta Star (barrel nut) so you can put any aftermarket hand guard on
Cons:
The motor is kind of weak, but that is to be expected with a stock gun. Replace it with a Lonex A1, A2, or A3 Long type
The FPS is a tad bit high for some fields for an AEG with full auto capability I recommend a 3/4 cylinder.
This is a GREAT gun. The externals are very realistic. I recommend the Tenergy 9.6v 1600mAh NiMH Mini Battery. it provides high fps (at least 400) and fast rate of fire. Over all its a great gun.
Pros:
good quality plastic hand guard
accurate
hits hard
realistic feel
shoots far
Cons:
I have no cons for this gun :)

What kind of spring does it have? Also could you link to all the internal parts included in the AEG please.
I will need to be able to downgrade the FPS to 350, but still want to know what's included internally for future modification. Thank you very much.

Staff Answer:
It will likely have a M120 in it and shoot around 400. The internal parts are all stock VFC parts. 2331 days ago 0

Removable triangle sight?
Is the front triangle sight removable? If it is, is a gas block needed to help with the handguard staying in place?
