WE M4A1 Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[R04B00][10795]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The WE Full Metal M4-A1 AEG Airsoft Gun is WE Tech's first venture into the AEG airsoft market, and they are off to an impressive start. It features a full metal body with intimidating trademarks that not only makes the airsoft gun look great, but it has a very realistic look and feel to it as well. The hand guards, stock, and pistol grip are all constructed of a high quality nylon-fiber polymer, just like they would be on a real M4-A1, and the removable carry handle allows access to a tactical rail segment that is perfect for mounting your favorite red dot or scope. Adding to the realism, the functioning bolt catch allows easy access to the hop up adjustment, and the body pins feature a safety clip preventing them from sliding completely out of the body and being lost.
Internally, the WE Full Metal M4-A1 AEG Airsoft Gun features a reinforced 8mm gearbox with a high RPM motor, nylon polymer piston, and steel gear set. On top of that, it is a standard version 2 gearbox, meaning that it is fully upgradable. What really sets this gun apart, however, is the way that it automatically decompresses the spring as soon as the selector is set to "safe." This releases unnecessary tension on the spring and helps to ensure that your AEG will perform at it's best for much longer.

This was my first m4 style gun. I was extremely impressed with the performance out of the box. I didn't have to touch it for a long time. Very accurate for a stock gun and I liked the trades. This is a great platform to basically do whatever with.
Pros:
Very easy to upgrade and find replacement parts
Performs awesome out of the box|
Cool trades
Affordable
Cons:
The upper and lower receiver sometimes have some give to it. Its no VFC but its still solid. I believe this can be remedied by getting different pins.
This is still one of my best rifles that I have bought to date. Its full metal construction makes it quite durable, and the de-tension mechanism works extremely well for fps consistency. It is also almost fully parts compatible with airsoft and real steel firearm parts. The functional bolt catch is also extremely helpful for adjusting the hop up, although it can be a bit finicky at times- sometimes I have to slap my hand against mine for it to close, and other times it doesn't want to work. It works extremely well for target shooting and field use as well (be careful with CQB use- it is quite strong at 400 fps w/ .20); it has quite an excellent range even at 170 feet with a stock 6.05 barrel and hop up. The only major issue was the fact that the motor is too weak for the spring. It is quite easy to fix the motor, however, and a JG motor (at least for me) sufficed. It would be a good idea to invest in a motor that can pull high strength springs. Other than that, great field rifle!
Pros:
Full metal and durable polymer construction
Parts compatibility- real steel and airsoft parts
Low price for a full metal AEG
Functional bolt catch
either slightly below or above 400 fps w/ .20
Accurate at long ranges
Cons:
Bolt catch likes to be finicky
Weak stock motor
Stock wobble (this occurs with all stocks, is minor)
After searching for a while, I finally decided to pick this gun up. I knew I wanted an M4, preferably full metal, with a decent gearbox and compatible with real-steel parts. This fit the bill perfectly. I got a great deal on it, so I went ahead and made the purchase. To be completely honest, this was my first "actual" airsoft gun (I've been through my share of cheapo spring guns from sporting goods stores) so I really have nothing to compare it too, but I was quite impressed. The gun is fairly balanced and I am perfectly happy with the performance from a 9.6v nunchuck battery.
Pros:
- Solid gearbox out of the box
- Full metal body
- Cool trades
- Decent stock performance
- Loads of upgrade potential
- Real style Delta Ring for RIS, handguards etc.
- Compatible with a lot of mags (that some other guns might have issues with)
Cons:
- Range & accuracy (tightbore is an almost required investment with this gun)
- Stock motor leaves something to be desired
- Shoulder stock wobble (fixed with a Magpul CTR stock)
- Finish scratches somewhat easily, especially on the top rail
Overall, not too bad of a base gun for a build. Pretty happy with it.
Stay Safe.
